I heard that the players ran the show when he was England boss but you are right that the side hasn't progressed under Capello. Leicester are expected to do well with the money they have spent and if they don't then that will be seen as a failure, Hull have spent very little as far as I know so if they finish above Leicester as I expect they will then that is a ringing endorsement of Nigel Pearson, I don't expect Pearson to be at Hull much longer as he will get an offer from a bigger team soon no doubt.
As much as I think Sven is an absolute genius at football management, I think its the case of wrong club and wrong time. He doesn't know this league at all. Would I go back to the hoof ball days of Pearson though? Not a chance.
Nigel was great for us and we all are truly grateful for what he did for us. When we was at our lowest in our history he came in and restored alot of pride and belief back into the club. Nigel will always be held in high regard around here but i wouldnt want him back because i believe you should never go back
Andy king, we don't play hoof ball you simpleton. You really are the worst LCFC poster on the Internet . I for one wouldn't swap Nigel Pearson for Sven, we have deffo got the better manager . you seem to forget NP got you out of league one and into the play off the following season and I doubt it was done playing hoof ball . Good to see alot of sensible lcfc fans rated NP as a decent manager and don't come out with the crap you did about walking away with the title and buying the league. Maybe one day you will learn that there is no such thing as a sure thing in football . Hull City v lcfc in the play off final maybe ? A game that either side could win ...
Currently LCFC are not where they probably feel they should be but like us they're just a win or two from the top 2. Over the full season I think we'll find that Sven will have them in the top 6, I won't say automatic because it's very competitive. West Ham & Leicester have the strongest squads and when others get injuries they'll benefit. It will take him a bit longer to find his best starting XI. *The post by Andy King re our "hoofball" is simply not true, we play very nice football thank you very much
When did I say that you played Hoofball?! We played with Hobbs at the back hoofing it and Steve Howard flicking them on to Fryatt. Calm down.
aye ok you meant Leicester under NP.. well if that's the case you have to admire him for getting City to play in an attractive way, yesterday wasn't a great performance by all accounts (I listened on the radio) but we are better to watch these days.
We play fantastic football under NP and is the right manager for our club. When people go on about how much money managers spend, they show they truely do not understand how football works. With transfers, the manager (usually after consultation with scouts ect) will go to chairman (or director of football in some clubs) and say "can you get me.......", the chairmen then goes off and tries to do the deal for the player. We are lucky that we have a shrewd business man, who know his football, in Adam Pearson who is not scared of walking away from a deal if he feels he is been mugged, we also have a well publisied fact that we are not rich, which also helps. No doubt Sven will have said I want X and his board have gone out and got them, some at a good price, some over the odds. Personally I think that Sven is the draw to some players, as is NP for us. Managers know if we get there youngsters on loan NP will bring them along in the development (hence why Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool all do business with us). Sven draws in "big" name players (for this league anyway), and that is what Leicester want right now. In short both have the right manager for there club. Who is the best? We will see that at the end of the season
Just ask me why you're so obsessed with us.... you'll never win fook all - you make us look like Barcelona
You probably are, but we didn't have the class to play passing football. Although we did start to when we had Tom Cleverley, Mark Davies ect on loan. Although it worked a treat, I still think Hoofball is boring as hell. I didn't enjoy it, but who cares, we won the league. Why would I comment on what he does at Hull? I don't really care, I was talking about going back to the Hoof ball days of Pearson because we played hoof ball when he was with us...
NP was fantastic at Leicester and I was gutted when he left, but life moves on so no I wouldn't take him back, same as Micky Adams who I've always held in high esteem and then of cause MON, god forbid he ever came back as we'd be expecting champions league football then (said with tongue firmly in cheek btw) I wish NP all the best at Hull though
The reason NP can't playhoofball at Hull is because your target man Adebola is ****. Give me Steve Howard any day
Who wants hoofball when we have players who can play passing, possession football? The main problem is coming up against thugs like Watford (allegedly)....
We don't have a target man, Adebola has only started one game this season and he's not really target man anyway, he can't head a ball to save his life. The real reason we don't play hoofball is because we have a team of talented footballers.
You say that as if we should be envious of those halcyon days Leicester had winning League One with **** football.
I would rather our striker to yours. Nugent has scored 4 and has been injured for a month and thats more then Fryatt Waggy is still our player and isnt as good as Beckford Schlupp is going to be quality and Steve Howard does the job when ever we need him Vassell is **** no other words for it, but even he managed somehow to score at your place
Ignoring the fact that none of what you have said is relevant to my point, and is simply the banal ramblings of a man apparently incapable of understanding English, I have replied (though **** knows why). Me not know what mean this? It relevant not to point me make. Yeah, Nugent is a better player than Fryatt. We all know that. Do I care? And? Schlupp? Is he the black kid who did well in the League Cup? If it's him, yeah, he'll probably be a good player. But why should I care? Also, why do you keep mentioning Howard? Yes. Last season. On New Year's Day. A quick glance at Wikipedia tells me he has scored 6 goals for you, so **** knows how bad those other sides he bagged against must have been!
