    That's not on.

I'll have a moan and a whinge on here and vent anger that way. To go to him personally and give him **** really doesn't do anybody any favours.

I wonder how many points we have dropped by not playing Gelhardt?

He is the only like for like replacement for Bamford.

Bielsa said it himself yesterday, that Gelhardt is a natural striker and can even do it at Premier League level against CL teams. In my view Joffy is and always has been a much better scorer than Bamford. Joffy will hit the target more than Bamford and will have a better strike-rate/goals scored per chance% than Bamford. However Bamford does a lot more than score goals he leads the defence from the front and Bielsa is trying to mould Joffy into doing the same. Joffy has scored loads of goals all his life at every age group level, Bamford hasnt and has had a tough career in many respects

I was on about his team mates who should be telling him. Going on a players account is a big no no.

I know it would never happen, but imagine Joffy and Bamford both playing...

He hasn't been the same since coming back from burnout! Even though it was obvious to every fan, Bielsa only rested him when he could barely walk.

    Perhaps Bielsa has broken him?

    Finally seen the highlights.
Do you not think they might get in each other’s way?

it’s like nketiah and bamford. Play two up top… and there’s no one to pass to them

Bielsa already said after the Wolves game that he sees an opportunity to play both Bamford and Joffy. Remember Joffy spent half of last season as a 10 and look at the way Bielsa is now rotating players like Raphinha and James and Roberts up front with Roberts back as a 10 yesterday with the other two swapping about. So I think before the end of the season we will see Paddy and Joffy on the pitch together

maybe we would have less points and it would have been chucking him to the sharks, instead of giving him airtime against tired defences for 15-20 minutes

Against spurs he had a bright 20 mins and then faded out of the game.

I really like gelhardt, guy I know at Wigan raved about him when we signed him,
I just get bored of this picking and choosing with regard to which bits of bielsa fans like. <ok>

Bit like the gelhardt v Roberts bollox. Yesterday we saw how they can play in the same team and one put in a great cross for the other to score. Incidentally after brilliant build up play from klich, the new whipping boy now Roberts is ‘on fire’

true Doc, we know he likes players to play in multiple positions - but he also highlighted yesterday that joffy’s key attribute is goal scoring - insinuating to me in bielsa speak that he’s not convinced about the rest of his game yet.

but I could be reading too much into Marcelo’s poetic ramblings

By the way, what a fcking goal it was. MOTD we’re creaming over the Arsenal goal but the build up play for the gelhardt goal was outstanding.

Not long after Joffy scored there was a bit of play when Joffy got the ball and sprinted through their midfield into their half, avoiding tackles and then did a lob on the outside of his right boot over the top to left wing which could have meant another cross to Joffy to score again. It was flagged for offside so not much talk about it but wow he ripped them apart and was again into the box before the flag went up
