I'm really sorry to do this to all you over there suffering from Johnson's corrupt administration, but if you thinks he's bad (and he is, appallingly so), this is now looking the likeliest replacement. <doh>
    God help you!

Here's the thing if the Tories bin off De Pfeffel for Truss, or Sunak, or Gove (who didn't take the hint the first two times) - as soon as they do that, they're seeing a significant number of seats being shed because you won't have any ill-informed berk saying how they'll vote for Truss/Sunak/Gove because they're "funny"

That's why they keep trying to style out controversy after controversy, because they know that a whole bunch of them will be off the gravy train PDQ if they remove him

You just knew that the Mirror had more gems to release!
All a bit like the Twelve Days of Xmas:
'On the 7th Day of Christmas, the Tories gave to me, another ****ing party!'<grr>

I'm guessing they also have more from the Treasury and other Depts...<cheers>

Cummings warned that there were photos and a guest list out there

It really didn't occur to Carrie Antoinette that making an enemy of the person (to use the term loosely) who knows where the bodies are buried, did it?

The current suggestion is that a member of the No10 press office, which was shut down in favour of the briefing room, is behind the leaks about the Christmas party

For somebody who writes poorly-researched books about leaders, De Pfeffel really hasn't figured out that unnecessarily making enemies tends to have some nasty side effects

So here's a theory I have: these leaks aren't to get rid of De Pfeffel - they're to get rid of Carrie

Think about it, the two scandals that won't go away are who funded Carrie's renovations of the Downing Street flat and for how much, and the Downing Street parties which certainly have more than a whiff of also being Carrie's doing

The fact that our Prime Minister is nothing but collateral damage to get rid of the Home Counties Nancy Reagan says a lot about how ****ed we are as a country...
