    Miguel Azeez's free-kick flies not too far wide. 90 + 5 minutes.

Final whistle. Comfortable 2-0 home win for Pompey. Clean sheet, a win, and three more points. Can't grumble with that !

Also, Conor Ogilvie's first Pompey goal.

Sound a comfortable win Wooperts. Would be great to see Pompey convert a greater % of chances that are created, though.

Having said all this, how is Azeez shaping up now that he is getting more game time? Perhaps it takes time to get the hang of what is required fat this level rom a very talented young man as more than just a wonderful skiil-set is rwquired to dominate your opponent at this level. I hope he grabs this opportunity with both hands and shapes up to play a telling part in the second half ot the season.

    Thanks as always Wooperts.

I like Miguel Azeez as a player, but today he gave the ball away frequently according to the Radio Solent commentators. As the only two fit and available midfielders were him and Sean Williams, Danny Cowley had no choice but to pick him. I still think he will mature into a top player in the future though.

We managed to get away on holiday for a week to Norfolk Island. An Australian territory but 1400 km from Sydney off the Australian east coast. I was thankful for your commentary Woops which I read while away but did not watch the ifollow replay until home last night.
A somewhat low key game which we didn't exactly dominate but never looked like losing.
In my view Ides Azeez has improved since being in the team but has not done enough to lift himself above, Morrell, Thompson, or Tunecliffe in the pecking order when these players return to fitness.
I have just been looking at the table to try and see why our excellent run has not pushed us further up the table. Four of the seven teams above us have not lost in their last six games and two have only lost one in six. Only Plymouth appear to be on a slide. We are going to have to win 'six pointers' to progress!
