Utter dogshite lads. Completely outclassed by an average Arsenal team. Lucky not to have been 6-0. #InRalphWeHaveNoTrust
Yes he could be doing better. Along with pretty much every manager in the league. I do wish he was a bit more flexible with his tactics and formation. But at the same time I really enjoy the football we play and I really don't want a manager who will play hoofball all the time.
Also, jeez just f*cking give Tino a rest. Half the player he was at the start of the season. Sure we spent £12m on a left back in the summer. Ralph won’t play him though.
Leeds push Chelsea all the way today without Phillips, Bamford and Cooper. We’re rolled over with ease without Romeu and Salisu and Adams, to a way weaker team than Chelsea.
Never going to win that game with the injuries/suspensions, but **** me, Ralph is the most tactically inept manager I think I’ve ever seen, & the constant support for him, when it’s the same thing week in week out, is getting old.
I agree with all.you have written above. However, l don't mind us playing more defensively away from home and collecting a few draws. I think we have a good counter-attacking setup and may steal more away wins than with Ralph's strategies.
So to summarise, we lose a game that nobody thought we would get anything out of. We had two key players suspended. Both goalkeepers injured and with one of our better strikers injured in training, another gets injured before half time. That said, we end up with more shots on target. Once Arsenal got into their stride, they grew in confidence and at times it looked like men against boys but our heads never dropped and we kept going for it right to the end. Not my preferred defensive CB pairing but I wasn't at training so can't criticise too much. IMO the big difference today was the goalkeepers. Ours did not command his area as much as I hoped and did not look anywhere near as athletic as Macca or Big Fraser. At the other end Ramsdale looked shaky early on but pulled off some world class saves from Armstrong, Redmond and then Tella. I still maintain this is a young team that can only get better. The other results today did us no harm and we are still only 3 points off 11. As others have said - two big games this week.
A full back who was voted into the French L1 team of the year... cannot be that bad not to be selected.
But Leeds still lost. We've pushed sides this season too, but failed to get the three points. Whether it's losing 2-3 or 0-3, zero points is zero points. I'm just as fed up with constantly playing well and not winning, as I am with us collapsing whenever the game goes away from us.
3-0, based on the performance once they scored their first, wasn’t a disaster. It could have been so much worse. We created a few decent chances, as per usual, but no goals also as per usual.
Good post Mowgli, it's a good set of points you have made, but even with a full.team l am not sure we would have got something from this game with the tactics Ralph employed today.
