I really don’t think a man who is so stubborn he stands in the pouring rain in a jacket and waistcoat is going to change his ways of thinking about football.
In defence of the ‘snidely’ comments against Lincoln. Maybe they wouldn’t be so many if there were ever any positive/balanced posts on here and if you bothered posting before a game or whilst we are not losing, rather than with glee coming on here with the see I told you so attitude. And it is glee like you want us to do badly so you can be right. loads on here have differing opinions but they don’t seem so happy that we lose. Just my opinion of course and perhaps I read you all wrong.
Agreed, the vast majority of them are ****. So why the hell is he trying to get us to play like ****ing barca. Why isn't the tactical genius setting us up to be hard to beat, to defend well? (And he's signed more than enough of those players himself.) Most clubs wouldn't wipe their arse on his "playbook" let alone make it the philosophy for the whole sodding club
I’m at the point where unless we get bought, I want us to go down. What’s the ****ing point of being in a league where we have zero chance of competing every week? Championship and league one were so much more fun than this dross
I'm really not sure what people are expecting from Ralph. OK, he could have tried something different but no guarantee it would work (see Liverpool game). Without a new owner this is our level - mid to lower table. The way people are saying relegation is nailed on is pretty pathetic to be honest.
Problem is that unless we get bought we will probably be **** in those leagues as well as we are ****ed financially without PL money
We chase their goalie and defenders around for the first 30 minutes; which to be fair looks quite good when the oppo is forced into an error. But that’s it. That’s all we’ve got. Soon as our front four get knackered we start getting played off the pitch even by average teams.
Win the next two matches, and things will look fine again. For a side like us, 22 points from 18 games is nothing to be ashamed of. But if we're 16 or 17 points from 18 games, with a fairly awful run of fixtures to come thereafter, I will be properly concerned. As I say, these two matches coming up are huge.
Look at my history. There's loads of positive comments. Loads. What there isn't is an absolute slavish devotion to Ralph regardless of tactics/team selection/substitutions/results.
No one has said it’s nailed on. And in all fairness most lower clubs set up tactically to be hard to beat away at the big clubs, so questioning Ralph is fair when he plays two attackers and suicide ball every week.
Tella has had a few mentions on Solent but Redmond has disappeared since first goal. Hard to tell without seeing the match.
I know how poor we are but (and it’s a huge but) we’ve created really good chances. One decent consistent reliable goal scorer and we’d be ok. I’m sure in the past, knowing that there’s someone in the team who will deliver has helped defenders to relax and not panic do much.
I agree to an extent. I was very vocal about my hatred for Puel and how boring he was. But Ralph is suicidal. The way he gets the players playing, but with more tactical nous would be perfect. I think he needs to rein it in some times
