Probably a dangerous thing to say but JWP just doesn't look the same this season. Set pieces are mostly ineffective (although I blame the players in the box for most of the corners) but most importantly he's not the tenacious little bastard he used to be. Having Romeu on the pitch has been masking that somewhat

Tella has been our best player by some distance, another good save there.

 

He's never been that good in open play imo and as his set pieces have been off this season it shows more. Laughable that we had people on here saying they'd turn down 50/60 million for him in the Summer.

I'd be trying to mug Newcastle off if it was me and use the funds to improve the squad.

Regardless of individual views, I think every Saints fan accepts that our second half of last season was horrendous. But we still managed to win four matches. Going into these two huge matches, we haven't even matched those four wins so far in this subsequent half-season.

 

No it doesn't there's three or four maybe more teams worse than us.

I will mate, eventually. I don't mind taking a few arrows, but **** me. I just don't get it. We're 3-0 down he's done **** all to try and salvage a game but the vast majority on here think everything is tickety-boo because he cried once when we beat Liverpool.

Any other club would have sacked him end of season. We're an absolute joke

 

Despite this loss we're still averaging a point a game this season which will probably be enough to stay up.
