It's not the job of the moderators to make you lot be nice to one another, it would be an impossible task anyway. You'd hope that posters would do so of their own volition, particularly with regard to a poster who'd opened up on the mental health thread, but sadly not in this case. I didn't 'dredge it up', I wouldn't have been raised at all, if it wasn't for posters claiming that he went off in a huff because there was nothing for him to be negative about any more, which was quite obviously nonsense.
Then maybe we should change the definition of what a moderator is /does?? We can all be grumpy ****s on here at times (me included!) but we should never be in a place where a regular & decent poster is pushed away. Is there a way we can reach out & invite him back??
I'm not privy to whether or not he logs on but if he does,he'll see your message. Edit..Already answered.
He hasn't changed his user name and posters who create new accounts don't tend to view the board using their old one, he's also got no shared IP addresses, so almost certainly doesn't have another account.
Stupid is as stupid does... Of course he has fled to the southern hemisphere. Probably somewhere with no extradition treaty.
Somewhere Charon is partying, because he's a ****ing nonce. Quill, Nov 23, 2020 I thought he'd been banned before he got a legal letter for accusing people of being peados - maybe he'd like to return and say sorry
The dark side of the blogosphere was revealed by a libel action brought by Michael Keith-Smith, a former Conservative party member who stood for Ukip in Portsmouth North at the last election. He said he was moved to sue after a woman with whom he was debating the merits of military action in Iraq began a campaign of name-calling that started by describing him as "lard brain" and culminated in falsely labelling him a "Nazi", a "racist bigot" and a "nonce". Tracy Williams, a college lecturer from Oldham, was ordered by a high court judge to pay £10,000 in damages, as well as Mr Keith-Smith's £7,200 costs, and told never to repeat the allegations. just a gentle reminder for those posters who think it's ok to call people Nazis, nonces etc - it might make a huge hole in your bank balance
