Vegan Vegetarian, whatever he is. Insects and small mammals still die through crop harvesting regardless of pesticides .
Exactly, I don't agree with many theories. That doesn't mean they are wrong or not have the right to question. That would be arrogant .
There's an argument for or against most things. It's people that jump on their high horse because they think they are unquestionably right that makes me laugh
Of course you have a right to question things, that's how progress is achieved. Imagine if we didn't question things, where would we be?! Who thinks they're unquestionably right? Its people who assume that those at the forefront of scientific research are wrong but have no evidential proof of that wrongness that make me laugh. That's arrogant. Edit:
The moon landings never happened the world is flat and human beings were created 5,000 years ago...facts
Again, since they have got so many things wrong yet can brush it aside nonchalantly is arrogance I have a friend who's a tin hatter. Nice bloke, honest as they come and would give the shirt off his back. Clever lad in many ways. He gets called a stupid loony etc. I call him it too winding him up Mind you, a lot of people who say he's stupid for his outlandish beliefs believe in God
They brush it aside because they've found new evidence to show that previous findings were wrong. That's not arrogance, that's science. Assuming that everyone else is wrong is equally as arrogant as assuming that you are unquestionably right.
I think I'd abstain next time. I don't like any of them and I'm sticking to what I said last year that I can't vote for an MP who ignored the views of 70% of her constituents in order to toe the party line. # They're all bent
When my eldest daughter was two she developed a serious water infection. The doctor treating her insisted on a second procedure that was both painful and traumatic. I questioned this after weighing up what had been done etc, even though he was an expert it seemed a pointless excercise. It turned out I was right to question him and it never went ahead. He wasn't happy as he was a right arrogant ignorant little prick.
A very difficult situation. Well done for looking at the evidence and questioning him. Comparable situations have occurred in my family. It doesn't mean that I assume that everyone else is wrong though.
i had a mate very similar, great lad and exactly the one you want beside you in the trenches but he got so caught up in his theories and trying to 'save me' i had to stop speaking to him...he waffled on one day with some tale then said 'if you did not know you would be saved, but now i have toldyou, you have to find god' i just asked why the feck did he tell me and he said 'cos he wanted to save me (there has to be some logic in there somewhere but i have not found it yet). as regards the govt. and basically everything else to do with this sh1t storm, the simple and plain fact is that we (the people) look to them (the government) to advise us in such matters, usually we will follow that advice (from the experts in their fields) but when the people see the government ignoring and even going completely against the experts they certainly do HAVE to start to ask questions and wondering if they are just constantly being lied to. as for science, it is constantly wrong but has to be to progress...actually 'wrong' is the wrong choice of word, they have to constantly update their findings i should have said...and this is where my 'faith' in such things falls down, after so many 'scares' during my lifetime (foods, drinks, germs, asteroids etc) only for them to then have to backtrack and decide that 'new evidence' has lead them to believe all of it is now not as bad as they first thought i now find myself wondering if they will ever be able to say something and that be the end of it, but the fact is they could say that they have found yet another type of food that is bad for you and we really have to believe them as they are the best people to listen to on that subject. then i look at myself and try to ask how i would have reacted had i been in my 20's and in all honesty i very much doubt i would have followed the rules to the letter...bearing in mind that during my 20's we had 3 channels on the television, no satelite television, no internet and no mobile phones and certainly no home consoles/pc's for gaming, there were only so many games of chess or monopoly you could stand and i am convinced i would never have got the jab...therefore i do not really call anyone else and i believe it should be down to personal choice (although some things like travel may be limited to you, but then, you can never have it all ways) and i am against this 'passport' idea as we have no idea how far they will push it, right now they are using care workers to see how it goes, holidays and group gatherings are now being added so how long before we all HAVE to carry 'the number of the beast?' (reference to my first paragraph)
If there was an SAFC Party, I'd probably vote for that, particularly if one of their policies was 'Free beer at the match for the over 60's'.
