I totally agree with you. It was a monumentally stupid thing to do. Not least because it undermines the credibility of the scientific advice in a lot of people's eyes.
But that’s saying they are putting their wives, husbands and children at massive risk or they don’t actually believe the advice they are giving you, which one?
Other than the Houses of Parliament they could have had the party anywhere else and I dont think there would have been a fraction of the outrage generated by the media, allowing less of the disgust to trickle down to the members of the public.
Ok, you're either being deliberately obtuse or you're too stupid to understand what I wrote in my previous post. And can you stop winking at me, please? I'm not in to that kind of thing.
Possibly, although I think any of them breaking the rules in any way would have caused some kind of furore. Maybe not to the same extent. I can't decide if its sheer arrogance or complete stupidity that led to them doing what they did. Either way, I think there should have been more resignations/sackings than there have been.
Oh sweetheart you've gone and got your knickers in a twist now and reverted to calling me a stupid gay And I thought we were having a debate. Obviously until it doesn't suit you.
https://www.deeside.com/on-the-day-no-10-was-partying-so-was-i-the-difference-was-i-was-outside-my-104-year-old-mothers-care-home-sticking-to-the-rule The irony on that sad story is the local MP comments. He was recently suspended for sexual harassment against a young lad at work. He refuses to resign even after calls from Rees mog and because of a loophole doesn't have to. His wife also had a party at home during lockdown but he said he was in parliament at the time,,, allegedly.
I'm happy to debate with anyone if they present sensible arguments. Unfortunately, you reverted to being obtuse because the conversation had got away from you. Although, if it was that you didn't understand, you could have just asked.
I think you'll find the conversation got away from you. You state we should follow experts to the letter as they know best, then when confronted by examples to the contrary you get all upset and revert to name calling Crack on
I wouldnt say its the fact they dont believe the advice they are given. I think it'd be more like a 'it wont happen to them attitude'. Mix that in with their privileged and often selfish Hurrah Henry lifestyle and you are left with the result of a staff Christmas Party at 10 Downing Street during a pandemic lockdown.
You asked about previous coronaviruses and I gave you an answer. You were the one that started with the childish behaviour by going "but they're still wrong". I'm happy to go back to the discussion if you would like to be sensible about it. Edit: (my apologies to everyone else for going on about this) re-reading your response, I do genuinely think that you didn't understand my reply so I'd like to clear it up. Yes, scientists get things wrong sometimes but that is often part of the process of achieving the right answers. Because research is always ongoing, you can only tell people what you know at a certain point in time. A good example is the current limited knowledge regarding the Omicron variant. In the cases of bird flu and swine flu, they were identified as being potentially problematic and so precautions were advised, fortunately they didn't achieve that potential and the more extreme precautions were avoided. At the time that they were identified, only their potential to cause problems was known. A similar thing happened with Covid, it was identified as being potentially problematic, extreme precautions weren't implemented, and then when it was seen to be achieving its potential, governments enforced the precautions. You can't expect the scientists to have all of the answers about a new virus instantly. If you look for the reputable sources online all of this should become apparent. I really would avoid the pseudo-science though, it will only lead you down the garden path.
Childish ? Irony, i merely asked if you follow all expert advice since they do get it wrong at times. And you revert to name calling hahahaha. You remind me of a vegan bloke at work, called me a muderer lol. I asked him if insects were animals, he agreed. I asked him if they had the same rights to life, he agreed. I asked him what about all the billions of insects killed to produce crops ? He got all sand in his vagina and reverted to childish name calling
Presumably if he's a proper vegan, he only eat food that hasn't had pesticides used on it. I've edited the post you've just replied to. You might like to take a look.
