Same. I have been 100% compliant since March 2020. I work from home every day, I wear a mask everywhere I'm told to. I didn't see ANYONE for 3 months during the initial lockdown and we stayed away from all vulnerable members of the family pre-vaccine (2 of whom have since passed away before we could see them). We got our vaccines and our boosters, we vaccinated our children and we stayed at home to save lives. The vaccines work, the link between cases and deaths was broken a long time ago. The new measures are a departure from his usual reactionary behaviour and it's a clear tactic to stop us talking about his corrupt behaviour. I'll wear a mask where I'm asked to, but apart from that life will carry on as normal in my household and Xmas Day is absolutely going to be normal with the usual houseful **** you Boris
I think it's more the case that this new varient is doubling cases every 2 to 3 days which has forced them to bring in plan b. There is so much unknown about the new varient that it appears they are actually being cautious and acting now while more data is collected. All they asked yesterday is wear a mask in a few more places, work from home if you can and either get jabbed or take a test before going somewhere busy.
Haven't seen the latest figures, but about a month ago there was an NHS gadgee on BBC or Sky saying about 20% of hospital beds were empty and the ones that were taken, only about 15% were covid patients. Add to the fact that hospitalisations are dropping it just seems to add up. Am sure I'm wrong, but we do always seem to be treating the NHS like it's some fragile butterfly close to death when in fact it's a huge multi-billion pound operation employing hundreds of thousands of people
