Oh I forgot it was Christmas in that case 21 points from those 7 games and beat the hammers to reach the 4th round
Ok so I have just done a predict every single premier league fixture until the 16th January games have been completed to see how realistic Essex's prediction is, and purposely restricted our results so that at best we only achieve 5 points. 20 Norwich 11 points 19 Newcastle 13 Points 18 Burnley 13 Points 17 Watford 16 points ( This is the number of points we have at present, so getting no points between now and after the West Ham league game would still keep us out of the bottom three, based on my predicted results of course ) 16 Southampton 21 points 15 Leeds United 21 Points 14 Brentford 24 Points 13 Everton 25 Points 12 Brighton 27 Points 11 Crystal Palace 27 Points 10 Wolves 28 Points 9 Aston Villa 31 Points 8 Leicester 31 Points 7 Arsenal 34 Points 6 Spurs 34 Points 5 Scum 40 Points 4 West Ham 44 Points 3 Chelsea 47 Points 2 Liverpool 51 Points 1 Man City 56 Points The above 5 points for ourselves, is based on beating Burnley, and drawing with both Arsenal and Villa at home, and losing all the other games, and that still means we are 7 points clear of the bottom 3, so we would have actually increased the gap between us and the bottom 3 compared to the present situation. I do however accept that we won't be in the 4th round draw for the F A Cup
That’ll do Aski, I’d settle for that and yes I think we’ll beat Burnley and draw the other two home games.
Fixtures for the teams below us for that period: Norwich - Scum (A), A Villa (H), West Ham (A), Arsenal (H), C Palace (A), Leicester (A), Everton (H) Newcastle - Leicester (A),Liverpool (A), Man City (H), Scum (H), Everton (A), Southampton (A), Watford (H) Burnley - West Ham (H), Watford (H), A Villa (A), Everton (H), Scum (A), Leeds (A), Leicester (H) Watford - Brentford (A), Burnley (A), C Palace (H), Wolves (A), West Ham (H), Spurs (H), Newcastle (A) So if we pick up 5 points from our next 7 games, then it means that at least 2 of either Norwich, Burnley and Newcastle need a minimum of 11 points each from their 7 fixtures and Watford need to gain 8 points from the next 7 games, for us to be in the relegation positions after the West Ham league game subject to goal difference going against us
Usually 35 points is enough to avoid relegation. You have to go back to the 15/16 season, when Newcastle were relegated from the top flight with 37 points
I've no idea why TOMA reared its head again but something could be going on in the background? Radz doesn't seem to be attending many games at the moment and I know there have been changes at Companies House. I think one of the changes was that the club didn't need to offer their current shares to the 49ers so opening us up to outside investment. As always times will tell what is going on but maybe somebody wanted that story to be leaked so who knows?
Afternoon Heidi, how do you think this will effect our spending next Summer if Radz still owns the club? Surely, he won't want to part with money, if he knows he is going to be selling?
There has already been agreement on the budget for next season and obviously dependent on which division we are in. This isnt about how much Radz spends, this is the club agreeing to spend, which means shareholders cash, so in simplistic terms 49ers will spend 44% of the final transfer kitty as being their share. The problem with Hay and Slaters piece is that they assumed the 49ers would just stump up the cash and take over by 2024. I said not to forget about Peter Lowy and Chad Hurley and some other very rich people who are part of the 44% that the 49ers own. So in effect the take over would be a syndicate with the final ownership being 49ers x% Lowy x%, Hurley x% a.n. Other x%. syndicated ownership is the new black in terms of owning clubs and spreads the risk and brings in expertise from owners
I'm really not sure. My worries are that we are going down the Ridsdale way with the high amount of wages we currently have on the books. I still believe that we shouldn't be paying millions out in transfer fees that will come back to bite us on the backside. I don't think he will put much in at all to be honest and if by any chance he was selling, why would he? At the prices mentioned I feel we would be over valued but we have to stay up for any of his plans to work anyway.
