I'd have left up the original post in isolation, but it's generating comments that definitely breach the rules, so I've deleted it all.
“A UK lockdown in the New Year is "certainly possible" but boosters will buy time to slow the rise of the omicron variant, a leading modeller has warned. Professor Neil Ferguson, dubbed "Professor Lockdown", called for a suite of "plan B plus" measures including working from home which he said would "buy us more time to principally get boosters into people's arms".
Not sure how Ferguson is still in a job after his ridiculous initial claims of how many deaths there would be, there again we all know it’s not what you know…
It’s almost impossible not to mention the government or their cronies on a Covid thread as the two are intimately tied together.
I don't love it. Regularly changing politicians achieves only short term thinking & actions which does not help the country. We need politicians that are trustworthy and good at their jobs. WhyTF is it so difficult to find them. (applies to all parties).
I wouldn’t bother trying to explain that on here, mate. Some think the pandemic exists in an apolitical vacuum.
Because you only need to watch a bit of PMQs to see the problem. Promise made, jeering, more waffle, jeering, name calling, told to shut up by speaker, more personal attacks, some bullshit pun, brown nose question for each leader from a random backbencher, facts that are completely skewed, question dodge, question dodge, bloke from Scotland talking about independence. Until we get people who actually are interested in improving life for everybody and not a load of toffs slagging each other off, we're pretty much stuck.
