I think that by the time Sarr went off the Everton defence had given up. They were shambolic, and we were lucky to catch them on such an off day. I would not read too much into that one game.
Agreed - I mean he has been played out of games a lot so sure Newcastle would be looking for someone more consistent and dangerous. Any new player going to Newcastle will be expected to perform straight away and meet demands. But on his day he is excellent....
Our subs probably caught them by surprise. Pedro hadn't played that much and Dennis hasn't been quite as good as he was early in the season. They seemed scared by our pace and like you say we caught them out when they were probably to push on for an equaliser.
Agreed about some schoolboy defending but Watford had shown, Villa aside, precious little attacking intent for weeks. I saw a lot more of that last Saturday, actual ideas as well as sublime execution late on: for once we threatened throughout. Sarr wasn't at his best but with Dennis out I would expect a slightly different role for him, one which might prise a nine figure sum all but for him.
Supposedly looking at a goalkeeper from the Zinck's old club. A bit of an unusual mix - Israel-born Russian with an English passport... https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-norwich-city-and-watford-set-sights-on-haikin/
Business I guess - it seems to be the way of the world these days. He can presumably be loaned out at a handy fee? There's also the possibility that Bachmann may be moving on in January in search of first team football, leaving us with just Foster, Green and the possibility of needing to recall Dahlberg from Doncaster. With our propensity for injuries, he may be needed.
Green? Sorry to be nitpicking, Bolton's Boots, but are you confusing Rob Elliot with Rob Green? I think that Robert Green has now retired as a goalkeeper and has become a television pundit.
Watford and Newcastle are keen on taking Manchester United and England defender Phil Jones on loan, with a host of Championship clubs also interested in the 29-year-old. (Sun)
Another South American 'wonderkid' - 18 year old Colombian Yaser Asprilla. Possibly to stay there on loan, possibly to go to Udinese on loan, but wants to go to Barcelona. I wouldn't mind betting we never see him in a Watford shirt. http://sportwitness.co.uk/almost-cl...-player-close-watford-year-long-negotiations/
Ranieri going back to one of his old clubs to get a midfielder ? Hasn’t played much . http://sportwitness.co.uk/watford-made-bid-midfielder-loan-purchase-option-discussed/
First there was Cucho, then came Kucka - now we may possibly have a Caci... Anthony Caci - 24 year old left back from RC Strasbourg. http://sportwitness.co.uk/watford-positioned-signing-clubs-chances-keeping-player-almost-zero/
