Are you going to cancel the hotel booking like the last time we played you? https://news.sky.com/story/southampton-vow-to-never-return-after-swansea-hotel-scandal-11365015
There's plenty of mileage in this one Matthew, a whole month's worth until we play. What little prank have you got planned this time? Nice name by the way.
I wouldn't mind the trip myself, if I can get tickets. Nice day out in Swansea, quick blast along the M4 and home in time to see who we've got in the 4th round. Wooperts Duck is a Pompey fan isn't he?
I've had a quiet word with Drakeford ( our Lord of the Manor) and he's promised ( obviously due to Covid etc ) that the Severn Bride will be closed west bound in the am and then in the pm , I hear the M50's is quire pleasant this time of the year with plenty of roadworks and delays so you'll have bags of time to reflect on our glorious victory on your 6 hour drive home.
At least you're not charging us to get into Wales these days . If we get tickets we would probably stay over near Brecon and then sneak into Swansea on the back roads. A bit like the SAS, you won't even know we've arrived until it's too late. We know the Brecons pretty well now and always try to go further afield when staying there. We were down on the Gower a couple of weeks ago (3 Cliffs Bay). There's lovely. Anyway, good to talk, all the best until we meet . BTW, Matthew Bound started his career at Saints but I expect you new that.
Yes I did although he only played a few for your lot before finally finding his feet at Swansea, I met him once in Cardiff for the play off final v Barnsley , nice guy, (although some would say he tried to get money from the Club when we had none) .Good luck , until the 8th
Went to the pre season friendly when the Saints wanted it more than us and won the game 3-1 ...it will be different next month....
You watch it will be raining cats and dogs freezing cold a great leveller which will help the Swans win by the only goal an own goal sliced in in the 97th minute.....
Putting aside the jokes I have no idea how Saints will do, we play some decent stuff at times but are so unpredictable. We have the unenviable record of dropping the most points from a winning position in the PL, so if we go 1 or 2-0 up you'll probably win. The 97th minute og sounds about right unfortunately. We usually take the cup games seriously so it's likely we'll put out a reasonably strong side. The last time we were in Wales back in August, Newport County were very hospitable. I'm hoping you Swans will be too. @azzuriswan I know our boys are namby pamby PL players but we do get rain and cold weather even in Southampton.
