His savings will be diversed. His income is from Turkish TV, that will be paid in Turkish Lira, his income has now dropped 45% & still dropping. His Turkish assets, homes etc are now worth 45% less than before in those circumstances would you be trying to invest £30mill not knowing how further the lira will drop
Educated guess and common sense. I'm not saying he won't be affected, of course he will to a degree, just not to a major degree. His businesses are way beyond Turkey and Turkish TV ( that isn't an educated guess, it's FACT) .... and I doubt he would refer to his money as 'savings'!
It's one of those places (and i have worked in a few) where they have a local currency but everyone calculates in a hard currency. Monthly wages are paid in local (have to be by law) but everyone thinks how many Euro is that, and the fact is their income has halved this year. On top of that official inflation is 20% but you can add a bit more onto that, so now their income will only buy 3/4 of what it would before.
This is why when Baz definitively said it wasn't done I raised the question of why he would say that if it really was done. The notion he was lying in order to get the exclusive was a bit of a naff one, and evidently he was telling the truth and it wasn't finalised.
Surely he was saying it wasn't done because ........it wasn't done. As we now know, certain formalities are still in process.
I'm not right but i 100% trust my friend is and everything he has said has happened and who his friend is.
Is that the end of the exclusivity period? So in theory the Allam could keep the deposit if the deal doesn’t progress?? Is that what you’re saying? Or have I misunderstood ??

Just a quick query regarding all of this, I know it's been said he has 100% control, but wasn't there rumoured to be backers as well at the start of it all or was that just me dreaming it ? The hit on the TL while being less then great won't imho affect things too much, the TL is far too volatile to invest serious cash in, most businesses I would presume will deal in the major currencies of the world to illiminate the fluctuation of their wealth.
Several claiming to be ITK, very few have proven it to date, its almost as if some of our posters resent those who have genuinely been spot on to date.
