I'm heading out to the pub to watch it with a chelscum supporting mate. I use the term mate loosely,
I fear i'll be the one buying the beer.

Sorry hate to say this as you know my feelings of CFC but Liverpool are no Chelsea. Chelsea are a cut above Liverpool.
Saying all that Norwich did really well at Anfield and deserve credit.

This is a big weekend for everyone at QPR. Whatever happens on Sunday this is what the club has worked so hard to achieve. #QPR

Yeah we're far better than Liverpool. In fact so are Spurs and Arsenal, just my opinion.

It'll be tough at Anfield but you could certainly take points off them at LR with some improvement up front and in midfield.

Sorry to but in but I must be alone in being the only Chelsea fan that likes to see QPR do well.
I've never really got this local hatred thing. As a man in my mid 40's who grew up in both Shepherds Bush and Fulham I don't get it. Surely it's better to hate Northerners.
Also, I have a few good mates who are QPR and they don't seem to have this problem either.
But, I work with a couple of younger chaps in their early 20's and they hate us with a vengence which is funny because they are probably not old enough to have even seen us play each other. They are good blokes but their hatred is disturbing.

Also, I have to agree with thing about naming a girl Chelsea. I ****ing cringe when I hear someone calling their daughter that, it's a whole big bag of wrong.

Lastly, Osgood may well have been a twat, he was human and some of them are. Even those who play football. My Dad's mate drinks in the pub where George Best spent his last years drinking and says Best was a horrible, conceited ****. If someone else was getting the limelight or the laughs in pub Best would ****ing hate it. I suppose that tells us we shouldn't try and get close to our footballing heros and should just love them for their football.

Not everybody can be as delightful a human being as Joey barton.

To be fair i met Peter Osgood when he was a host at Stamford Bridge in the 90's. My old man got us tickets in the Directors box and for the meal, each table had a host and ours was Osgood. When he saw i was wearing a Rangers badge he was a right pisstaker and a real laugh. The man was a credit to Chelsea and seemed a really nice guy.
    Oh....and Furlong scored against us..........:(

    I agree.

If you take out Spurs, Arsenal, West Ham and Millwall generally speaking I like London teams to do well. I am pleased for QPR and Fulham they are doing this well, I was disappointed Fulham didn't win the Europa League final.

It's clubs like Newcastle, Leeds, United, Liverpool etc that I love to see fail. I can't stand how much the media fawn over Northern clubs which probably perpetuates my hatred of them.

Although it's Spurs, part of me was glad when they actually beat City to 4th in 09/10 season even though I actually don't mind City.

I just wanted to say that in the quite likely event of a serious defeat today can we please remember that less than two years ago we were moving from paul hart to mick harford and losing 1-0 at Peterborough in dire circumstances. Neil Warnock has done some fabulous things with our football club and got us where we are today. We're playing Chelsea because of Neil Warnock.

We're about to embark on a run of games against some of the best teams in the world, starting today however painful that is to admit. If we lose it's not because Warnock is out of his depth in the Premiership, it's probably not because he picked the wrong team or set them up in the wrong way and it's probably not because the players aren't putting enough effort in.

So can we try and not kill each other or slate our manager or slay the players if we go through a bit of a bad patch over the next month or so because the teams we're playing are simply better than us. 100% effort and commitment is all we can ask for.

    Fingers crossed.

I wholeheartedly agree. If we lose by more than two there is no doubt the usual punters will be slating Warnock, Barton and anyone ever associated with Queens Park Rangers FC.

The next three games aren't the games we should be getting points in. 1 point from 9 would be a bonus but if we can hold our heads high after the City game then we'll be able to give Stoke and Norwich a right go.

It's important we as fans, don't lose our bottle as well, and I'm worried about that with some posts I read.

No judgements made on basis of next 3 games, but we will learn a bit about attitude and spirit

It's important to remember that internet forums, and particularly this one, aren't indicative of the whole supporter base. The people who are the most fervent in their lambasting of the players and club generally don't go to many games. Blackburn was the first game I've missed this season so can't comment on that but home and away I think we've been an asset to the team so far.

I'm so bloody envious of you lot all going, up at 2 am for me to watch it!
Got so many great memories of Chelsea games, Michael Robinson from the half way line, 6-0, that weird horrible mint green kit that Chelsea wore once, hating David Speedie, heart in your mouth moments when coming out of the Bridge. I could carry on but I don't want to bore you with my ramblings.

Have a good'un boys, but not so good for you Chelsea boys of course.

Agree wholeheartedly. I do think the team realise how good the support has been this year when i read Neils comments about the support at Fulham. As he said , it was amazing that the fans were still singing his name at 6-0 down.
I would hope the real supporters will still be supporting the team after 3 games that could possibly turn out to be very poor results for us.........or maybe not

District, completely agree. Spurs, WH, Arsenal and Milwall I all see as fierce rivals and like to see the majority of the rest do well. QPR are our rivals though, a lot of history there between us. As for Fulham, they're a decent bunch and I also wanted them to win their final, I can also have a good chat about football with them at the pub without it turning sour.

But we'll need a pantomime villian to blame Northy if we get stuffed. Can't it be your turn this week?

Bit of friction in the house today, Mrs WBA2 wants to go to hers isters for Sunday lunch at 3pm but has just heard she's cancelled her Sky Sports subscription.

I shall therefore be dining alone on toad in the hole with the dog this afternoon. Good excuse to stoke up the fire and decant the '83 Warres to toast an epic win/ref denied defeat/hard fought draw (delete as neccessary)
