Hume was signed with a long term injury, he lasted two/three games and not full ones at that. McGeady has not been fit and underperforming since the start of the season and then theres O'Nions Should injury that is seems its a 6/9 month job so out for the season. Huggins we've seen a glimpse of what could be but again, out injured but I'll give you that, it was a freak injury by all accounts. so this whinging by Johnson these past few weeks, some may see as an excuse..

So you’re in the “Hume is a crock” barrel then even though his latest injury was caused by a shocking challenge over the top of the ball half way up his shin and completely unrelated to his first?
Johnson says “we’ve got injuries” it’s “whinging on” and “an excuse”. When Roy Keane or Peter Reid made it, it was a valid excuse. This is exactly the way it is. A “less fashionable” or less Likeable manager mentions injuries, he’s making excuses. A liked manager does the same, he’s got a valid point.

I have never heard Johnson whinge about our injury list, I have heard him answer questions about it at press conferences, but he has always sounded upbeat and never used it as an excuse.
Hume became an important player and a shoe in when Cirkin was injured. If you include Huggins, that is all of our fullbacks out with long term injuries so I am not surprised we are trying to put square pegs in round holes.

I don't think I've said anything about putting square pegs in round holes.. Hume was carrying for nearly six months a serious injury , McGeady (Metatarsals) and O'Nien (Shoulder) the same. Now I'm not saying injuries dont happen during a season but All three had injuries going into the new season. It was only a matter of time before these caught up

I just responded to you saying Johnson whinged about our injuries, I don't believe he has.

I know you didn't say anything about square pegs in round holes, I was making the point about how the number of injuries in one area of the team have had an adverse effect on how Johnson sets us up and how it is necessary to play people out of position.

I do agree with you about the injuries to O'Nien, McGeady and Hume while they were out of contract, the choice was offer contracts to players carrying injuries or not. To be honest, it doesn't look like that gamble has paid off for us.

Johnson has and never had a plan B for the team set up...In fact one recent game, I think it may have been Shrewsbury, he even introduced Zonal marking for part of the game,,,Where did that come from? No mate one mistake I can live with , two, I look closer and now were well above three, that's when you have to question things and Johnson...I've seen too much over the years and seen similar scenarios happen with other managers/Coaches we've employed to realise, there's another cock up from him just around the corner.

That's wrong, if you watch the games, he regularly changes the way we set up during the game, he did it at half time on Saturday and we bossed the second half.
There is an agenda against Johnson by some of our fans and that's their choice, but using tired old clichés like no plan B doesn't support the argument, especially when a blind man on a galloping horse can see that he does change personnel, formation and set up, probably too much for my liking.

I’m not ranting “son”, you are! I’m just pointing out that Hume isn’t a crock and, as someone else saud, Johnson hasn’t complained about the injuries!

So Johnson hasn’t got a plan B, yet , part way through the Shrewsbury game he changed things? So he does have a plan B? I’m confused!
