We need a solid striker, someone who will make the runs, use power and/or pace and give us something a little different compared to our usual passing

I think someone like Darren Bent, Defoe, someone that knows the english game, that will be greedy and go for goal, and that know where the goal is

This would allow RVP to drop back into his preferred position not only giving us more midfield creativity but better attacking options

    -----------Bent
    Gervinho---RVP---Walcott
    -----Song----Wilshere

Would also allow Theo to go upfront with someone to help him etc

by the way i know Defoe/Bent arnt the greatest, but them/players like them are affordable in january and could still help us alot

Moussa Sow. Thats who Arsene will get. Also I think will really missed the boat in not getting Kevin Gameiro who used to play for FC Lorient. Because we have a good link with that club and he is a forward that can play alongside RVP.

Arsenal need Vermaelen back fit to compliment Mertesacker's weakness', Wilshere back and fighting fit as I believe he is not only a class player but a vocal person in the dressing room which is just as important, somebody to replace Fabregas - sorry I just don't think Arteta will do the job he does by miles (not the same role but I'd go for someone equal in class like Hazard or Gotze in January/next summer) AND as you've said a new striker - I have no idea who to be honest but RVP seems to score a lot of goals so maybe a Gotze/Hazard will feed that more than he already does himself. (above all RVP needs to stay fit as you will all know).

Sadly I think Spurs will reach 4th spot this season (don't take offense to that, just what I honestly think!) unless Wenger makes some serious change in Jan.

SJW19 - Sow is a class act and someone who would benefit the way Arsenal play and something Arsenal have needed up top - STRENGTH.

Joel Campbell is starting games for Lorient now. He'll be smart next season.

<ok> Yep, he's a top player - time will tell if he makes it at the top level, but the raw ingredients are there.

Papiss Cisse or Moussa Sow if we're going on the cheap.
But I know what OP means about somebody who knows the English game, but it's hard to really think of anybody who isn't a) past it or b) happy with their current club.

Rodallega? Long? Doyle (there have been rumours before)? Not even sure these guys are good enough.

getting a striker would help solve the midfield problem as RVP would drop back into an attacking mid/centre forward role and add alot of creativity to the middle ofcourse with Wilshere sagna etc back

And i think Koshielny probably compliments mertesacker better, kossy is a beast on the ground, very rarely will he miss a tackle or be in the wrong place, so merte can do all the strength and headers while kossy is basically a sweeper behind him

    --------szneznky
    sagna--merte--kossy--Gibbs
    ------Song---Wilshere
    Walcott----RVP----Gervinho
    --------Bent/whoever

the front 4 all capable of getting goals, and creating goals with a mixture of pace, power, skill and finishing
Song and wilshere a good mix of creativity defence and aggression

i'd be confident in that team in 90% of games

We bid for Yann M'Vila in the summer which tells us that Wenger is at least targeting that area for strengthening.

  12. I too think we need to strengthen our midfield and improve our creativity.

Fingers crossed RvP stays fit 4ever. Today's second goal just show how important he is to us. I think before we go hunting for another striker we need to see how good Park can be. Amazed he hasn't started in an EPL match yet.
