I had a horrible feeling this would happen. Very disappointed as I would have loved Pompey to.have faced West Ham or Spurs in the 3rd round. Sadly not to be. I also.wonder if the team and Cowleys were thinking about playing Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday?
Hello Woops It appears that the replay is not available to me on ifollow, As per usual the highlights on sky & BBC Sports are not available 'down under.' This leaves me very grateful for your commentary. In the 1920's my Father played for Harrogate although their status at that time was somewhat more humble than it is today. Never the less my loyalties are not so divided that I am any other than disappointed in todays result. (my Father moved south and lived in Portsmouth prior to, and in the early years of, the war, and became a devout Pompey supporter and indoctrenated his son likewise.). Perhaps if we get a good result against Sheffield Wednesday it will all be worthwhile. PUP
I.just wonder if Pompey had half an eye on this forthcoming match because toppling Wednesday would be a big feather in Pompey's cap. As You said PDU, extremely disappointing but we get.up and move on. P: You could try.Youtube for.the goals.
Hi pdu - interesting story regarding your father ! I was born on the outskirts of South London, and my father was an avid Spurs fan, having been born in the city. When I was old enough, like him, I became a Spurs fan, but when his job brought him down to Portsmouth when I was 11, a neighbour took me to Fratton Park to watch a match against Chelsea, I immediately became hooked and quickly converted to become a Pompey fan, securing my first season ticket when I was 17 and having started work ! Been one ever since. Spurs are still my second team though. Didn't renew my season ticket this season, mainly on health grounds after a bit of a health scare the year before. May renew for next season hopefully, but will see how it goes. At present relying on iFollow for viewing midweek games, but pleased to see that Sky Sports are showing the Pompey v Sheff. Wednesday live on Tuesday evening. Fingers crossed, it will be a good match, and Pompey can resurrect their recent league form. PUP PPU
My father was a Watford fan. My parents moved to the Fareham área when I was six. First game I.saw was at.The Dell, Southampton v Plymouth!!
