Nope, it might well explain why JWP dropped back if Macca told him he was really struggling. McCarthy not telling the bench how bad his injury was insanely unprofessional.

Ralphs days are numbered I think. I trust that the board will bring in someone suitable, not another Hughes or Pellegrino.

I wonder whether McCarthy didn't realize that we still had a sub. That would make sense; he didn't want Brighton to think that he was hurt, because he didn't think we could make a switch. So instead he told JWP, who dropped back to cover because McCarthy couldn't come off his line, and led to their goal.

Pretty apathetic towards the manager situation now.

Love some of the football we play, we’re creating a lot more chances this season and I like Ralph.

But it’s all useless if the players are knackered after 60 minutes, if we can’t adapt our tactics throughout the game and we still have a weak mentality across the squad.

Can’t fully blame him for that. We should’ve scored 2/3 and JWP had a brainfade. But we gotta be able to control the latter stages of a game at home against 10 men.

Both Romeu and Salisu suspended for Arsenal plus possibly both keepers out. #****ed

I'm not that upset tbh. Going in at half time 1 up I was sure we would lose by 2 goals or more. A draw is a great result.

It really would explain why JWP did what he did.

Still should have absolutely walloped the ball up the other end of the pitch when he had the chance.

I wish that were true. Where I work it seems to be the job of the pass the buck in any direction they can get away with

From what I have been told about Alex from someone who knows him personally- that wouldn’t surprise me

TBH I wouldn't have been too disappointed with missing both Romeu and Salisu for Arsenal - had we won today. It's better to lose both for one game than to lose one then the other in consecutive games. But we didn't win so I'm mainly still pissed about that.

    The clowns were on the pitch imo. I reckon we’ll stick with Ralph, and quite right too;

the poor bastard deserves to suffer with the rest of us.

The biggest problem for me, is the lack of goals.
Take a 2 or 3 goal lead, against teams that are on our level, and conceding a late, sloppy goal doesn’t hurt.
The second biggest problem, for me, is how, once we lose control of a game we seldom get back on top and inevitably concede a result changing goal.
Ralph was critical of the lack of impact from the substitutes, in a recent game, which is why I think he often leaves making changes until the last 15 minutes, or so. And in all fairness the starting 11, although having lost momentum going forward, were still holding their own, until the brain farts.

Oh I see, you were just being really rude because I suggested that Ralph’s days were numbered.

Completely different situation on the pitch, I accept. But when JWP gave it away, rather than just putting his foot through it, I had a flashback to when Crouch decided to shoot rather than take it into the corner. And infuriatingly, the end result was again the same. (Fingers crossed that the real end result isn't the same too.)

Game management. Don't take a risk. Don't give the opponent one final chance.
