Early reports from Israel seem to agree with that, but better information will take 2-3 weeks to collate.

Not good news for turkeys they'll get stuffed. I'm looking out for how effective the vaccines are.

My god I feel so bad after the moderna booster, it's akin to another day of Covid. Everyone reacts differently but Im not sure it's worth it.

We old codgers were both fine possibly because we are made of sterner stuff having lived through very hard times.

My left arm has had needles stuck in it so many times you could use it as a sieve.

I have had 3x Pfizer jabs, flu jab and pneumonia jab.
The pneumonia one was the only one that made me feel iffy, and that only lasted a day.

Definitely worth it. You may feel bad, but you weren’t ill. Better than playing Covid roulette.

Yup - tough stuff-r-us indeed ….. I’ve had blood taken from me 6 times this week …. I’m unsure there’s much more left in there (and, despite what some people have said about me) I’m a rotten bleeder - they struggle to find veins under the layer of blubber, so I dread getting blood taken …… going to have to get used to it though, I reckon :emoticon-0107-sweat

I had a bad response to the Moderna, after previously only having a small side effect to just my first Astra Zeneca.
Got to be worth it though, in the long haul.

Am I wrong, but isn’t it now law to wear a mask on trains? :emoticon-0112-wonde:emoticon-0112-wonde

First two were Pfizer, and I had fatigue like symptoms, albeit short lived.

Apparently, but who is going to enforce that?

Seems our comedy PM is about to announce tougher restrictions; Plan B, whatever the heck that is. Surely this can only be met with a rousing chorus of “**** off you clown shoe wearing berk” from the British people?

I can tell you now there will be absolute uproar in the hospitality sector if the government introduce vaccine passports and mandatory face mask wearing inside. Lets just say I can see the whole sector joining forces and either all refuse to comply or shut. Either way the government have made a rod for their own back.

Also, they may well make face masks compulsory inside football stadia but football clubs will just turn a blind eye to fans not wearing masks. I have no intention whatsoever of wearing a mask while watching football.

I have just seen a Facebook post from a woman who I first met in 2014, when she was in the Snowden rehabilitation centre at the same time as my wife.
This young woman has fought back from a condition that had left her almost totally paralysed to a point where she can now walk a few steps, but is still wheelchair dependent and is living with a weakened autoimmune system.
Recently she was admitted to (and since released from) hospital as a result of having both pneumonia and Covid.
Unfortunately she has now been diagnosed as having Diabetes.
She was told, by the medics at the hospital, that they are seeing an increase in new diabetes cases amongst those with weak autoimmune systems, as a side effect of Covid.
Just another reason for keeping people safe.

I had this dilemma at the Mayflower...they asked us to keep our masks on...but it quickly became physically impossible. I (and almost everybody else) cast them aside during the first half....and this was inside. Cannot see there being much of a risk in the bowl ....the concourse is more problematic and risky. However, they would have to stop selling refreshments if they expect people to wear masks there. A dilemma.

Stadiums are closed over here Tom, Vaccine passports and distancing are used in the venues I choose to go to with the vast majority happy to know they're in a protected environment. Never mind the vocal antivax conspiraloon gobshites they get short shift from me and most of the population.

Apparently 1 in 4 colds are actually Covid...shows how mild it can be in some. Talk that omicron may signal the end of Covid at its worst as it is highly transmissible, but mild. Here’s hoping

Where does that come from Fran? I looked for some verifiable info. Hope for the best plan for the worst, we'll (me and Mrs Jab) continue to take a cautious approach due to others lack of discipline. People are all over each other in The Hague centre, easily avoided.
