I am sure he played in that game when Patterson scored an og & Tomlin equaliser late on. He also played for Villa against us in the PL and unbelievably scored from a direct free kick.
Shades of Rambo again..... Just have to hope either nothing materialises or if it does, that it's a record fee for us and the money would be used wisely and reinvested in the team in a careful and considered manner. Let's face it, if a top 4 or 6 Prem side come calling, and they offer something like £10 mill (not that I'm saying they will of course), would either the player or the club be able to turn it down?
Almost reads like he's inviting offers. Tan told him to get some cash in? Been here before. Sometimes a statement of intent is made not by spending money, but by not selling. Odd though. If Tan wanted money in that badly, surely selling moore in the summer would have been his best bet. Who knows?
Assuming there were offers of more than a pittance for Moore. Colwill is on a contract until 2024, is a first team regular for us and a Welsh international, and has prospects of significant further improvements. I would keep him but £10m might be too much to turn down. However, next summer's window might be just too hard not to sell him for the right money. Despite all that, it is a very refreshing position to be in and speaks volumes for the way our youngsters programme has developed in the last couple of years.
I’m not too sure he will be the subject of transfer speculation. He is far from the finished article and would not IMO benefit from a move to another club as I suspect he wouldn’t be an automatic pick. Moreover it’s still not clear what his best role is.
Why on earth when they write up contracts is there not a minimum price should a transfer take place,in my opinion a minimum of 10 million would be about right.I remember when they sold Ramsey to Arsenal for £5 million chicken feed and once again bad management. Will they ever learn at our club, also sell on clause should be in the contract, look how much Ramsey has cost for clubs and how much did we lose.
Good point well made. However, do you think that the fact that he's not the finished article might make hime more interesting to a top flight club? I can imagine a club like Arsenal or similar spotting potential and wanting to develop him in their own way. If they see real potential, it would make sense for them to try and get him before he becomes more accomplished and consequently more expensive. Just a thought.
Will - Ramsey was an absolute steal for Wenger at 5 mill. Ridsdale was desperate for cash at the time to payoff the HMRC committment - I think we were the subject of several WUP's from the Revenue which we managed to get postponed a few times until we had some cash. Got a feeling Dato Chan Tien Ghee (remember him?) helped out at the time before he brought Tan to the table. Maybe I've got that wrong and it was actually Tan that came up with the necessary cash? Anyway that's history, but history has a nasty habit of repeating itself.
City should now be seriously looking for some CB’s in the window. Time after time yesterday they were all at sea. Morrison looks past it yesterday as he’s been all season really save a glory moment at Luton. Flint gives it everything but is very limited. Nelson is average and his passing is a major problem. Brown is not anywhere near good enough. McGuinness is obviously one to keep and he’ll improve. Morison and in particular Hudson surely can see this is a major problem as only 1 clean sheet all season speaks volumes.
We're looking to offload Kasey Palmer, and as you're pretty much our feeder club these days he could be with you....?
No thanks. He looks too much like Bacuna for me - and I'm not being racist here. They're very similar both in looks and in style - one of them is too many.
Incidentally, a feeder club is one that supplies another, not the recipient club - but there again you are a wurzel so forgiven.
VT's multi hull yacht, Asean Lady, is up for sale at £30m. Now that amount really would help fund some good additions to our squad.
But would we be rudderless when it was sold and, realistically, could VT funnel some of that cash to us.
