    Hope you're right <ok>
While we're here I have looked at some of these Tilke-dromes and figured out Tilkes secret recipe!
    1. Design a medium-to-long pit straight.
    2. Add another very long straight.
    3. Add a final straight, short-to-medium in length.
    4. Design anywhere from 4 to 7 45-degree degree turns. Place most of them at the ends of the straights.
    5. Add one concertina effect corner.
    6. Add several chicanes and slight twisty bits devoid of imagination.
    7. Put this through a colander to remove all trace of character and overtaking.
    8. Spend the rest of the time designing the pits and paddock. NB: Add golf course, water slide, etc for Bernie.
    9. Serve while hot.
And voila! You have made something truly unspectacular in a country doesn't even need or want F1 <ok>

That breaking point over the hill in the last sector is an absolute nightmare. I consistently lock up and go off in the gravel on F1 2011.

I've picked button for the third race in a row. He's the in form driver, and it looks like a red bull circuit, so McLaren should win, they did on Hungary and Japan.

I think I'm owed a point. although I forgot to vote I did, many months ago after having voting problems, name Seb Vettel as my default choice, and that if i forgot to vote Seb would be my choice. (I wish I'd forgotten to vote a few times, I'd be winning by now.)

Karthikeyan is standing in for Liuzzi not Ricciardo. Thats probably the death knell for tonio but Ricciardo's potential has been noticed.

What is interesting is Nick Heidfeld has now been out for 5 races with if memory serves me right two car failiure related reirements in his last 2 races and yet he is still 10th in the standings only 2 points behind petrov

Also interesting that given his post germany form, Hamilton still seems to get more votes than Button.

Because the impression is still that Hamilton is the faster driver and barring an incident, pit mess up, or weird safety car wet weather changing bananarama race Lewis will outscore Jenson. It's a view I personally agree with.

Its because your only as good as your last race. In the Korea poll Button had more votes than anyone, also only one of the Hamilton voters isn't a supporter.

Not really. the only fair Petrov vs Heidfeld comparsions can happen as they were teammates. It was 34-32 IIRC. Since then it has been 4-2 Petrov and Senna so its the car.

This track and the new USA track seem to have a bit of gradiant to them. maybe Tilke is getting better at this track design lark?

I'm glad that Ricciardo doesn't have to give up his seat - it's clear that he's done a much better job than Liuzzi and I believe he deserves to be in F1 more than any other HRT driver, however I don't think it's fair to have Liuzzi making way for Karthikeyan. Karthikeyan is a terrible driver; easily the worst in F1.

I know that he's a local boy and it's his dream to take part in his home race and his presence might help generate some interest...but how many locals are going to buy a ticket just to see the local douchebag getting lapped by the other drivers? I saw an interview with Chandhok where he said that each race in India gets 25-27 million viewers per race - they don't need a national driver to help bring the fans to the race.

Having said all that, I think Karun Chandhok does deserve to drive in India not because of his nationality, but because of his talent. In the little time he had, he showed his consistency and maturity, while his "raw speed" was unknown because of his car. Chandhok at least deserves a second chance to prove himself, and Trulli is currently wasting a seat at Team Lotus. On the other hand, Karthikeyan was given plenty of time to establish himself as a credible driver but instead proved to the world that he was completely ****. Even when he was given the perfect opportunity to get a podium finish, he couldn't manage it.

    Bring Chandhok in, exile Karthikeyan.

Being a late starter, I've no time to play it safe. Massa for the win ...but only if Alonso retires!
