Yes, that's why I'm currently online. Everyone is sat on their laptops during the day while they cook up a Big Mac and Fries.
Look i do understand what your saying but where does the money come from? Answer is no where. The country has no money and we have the biggest debt we've ever had and little to no means of paying it back at the moment so what is the government supposed to do. It cant keep spending what you cant afford and there are area's where huge sums could be saved. I for starter work cut all the red tape labour brought in on health and safety. You know there is this thing called common sense! id also like to see a ruling put in that stops the sue culture which has been brought here by the americans.... Whey does there have to be someone to blame? why cant people just accept that sometimes things go wrong and the right thing to do is working on the resolution and the means to ensure it doesnt happen again, not sue everyone involved and get nothing back from it. We as a country need a ****ing good shake if you ask me.
Leagalize Marijuana. Taxed and distributed properly then the government end this so called "War on Drugs" saving millions each year on wasted spending. Also the money coming in off taxation would be in the billions.
I suddenly feel implored to make a point. All politicians are ****wits. This may seem like an unfair generalisation but they are all there to look out for themselves first and foremost as opposed to the people they are supposedly serving. With this being the case, it doesn't really matter who is in power, they will shaft anyone and everyone, so long as they themselves aren't harmed.
Ah, but different types of politicians will shaft different types of groups harder. If they shaft the poor, they're capitalists. If they shaft the poor whilst pretending they aren't doing. they're progressive capitalists. If they try to shaft the rich, but end up shafting the poor and the middle class, they're socialists. If they claim they're gonna shaft the rich, then change their mind and decide to let the rich do what they want, shafting the entire country in the process, they're New Labour. If they claim they're gonna do one thing and then do another, and in the process piss off all their supporters and shaft themselves, they're the Lib Dems. If they're busy shafting each other in posh public school clubs, they're the Tories. So you see, it really does make a big difference after all.
LOL you just want a bulldog coffee shop in aberdeen!!! But if they did legalise it they could make a killing on the taxes. I mean if you look at the price you pay for what you get the profit margins are huge and if the government was to grow it themselves they could cut costs massively, Id be supprised if they couldnt have a that a 300% mark up, and thats even staying on current pricing. Considering they say that there are 12million active smokers buying on average a eighth every week thats a whole lot of cash the governement would make.... Money money money and it would cost them **** all to do it and they could then license/franchise out the cafe's and make even more while still having a tight grip on the market...
Okay, just to get this straight, you think that legalising drugs would lower crime rates? I don't think you've posted enough on this subject!!!
I don't think you have quite made your point yest Berbnanidez. Repeat it again, just so that we're all clear as to what you're getting at!!!!
It's the server on Not 606. I've got the same problem I still think you should make your point again though
If you look at holland for an example they had issues at first with people going onto harder drug but that faze only lasted about 3/4 years before everything calmed down. Now they have one of the lowest drug problems in the world.
He is technically right. But I can understand your scepticism (Sp?) as im not sure how clued up on this subject you are. I am not meaning to insult you in any way. Simply, the governament allocate a certain amount of funds each year for tackling the issue of drugs. More than 80% of that is directly dedicated to tackling cannabis whilst cocaine and heroine combined are allocated less the 10%. The crime rate is so high due to people getting caught possessing cannabis and being charged. Do our prisons really need to be filled with people who have been caught possessing more than 3 times. It's ridiculous. Legalising Cannabis would thus free up funds to tackle more serious issues like addiction. The theory that cannabis is a gateway drug is largly spurred on by the fact that to purchase it, one needs to contact a dealer, who by association may have links to harder substances. The abilty to purchase cannabis through either a coffee shop, dispensery or chemist would thus eliminate the contact with harder drugs.
People could also consume drugs in a much cleaner environment reducing the risk of infections from needles etc and having medical staff on hand should anything go wrong. I don't take drugs myself by the way
I still wouldn't legalise cocaine or heroine though as they are not natural, they are chemically enhanced drugs which can cause physical and mental damage. I would use money from the governament to tackle those sorts of addiction. Marijuana, when taken sensibly is an amazing thing.
