No chance, we stop playing after he gets 2.

    Plus it's an away game.

Deffo dont make him your ff captain for this one.

It's going to be disappointing if we don't score 4. I've become quite accustomed to getting 4 goals.

    Another decent mid table side

If there ever was a side who was hard to score against but cant score goals it's this one.

0-0 v burnely and norwich, beat west ham 1-0. Lost to palace 2-0. Best everton 2-1 Drew with leeds.

This is must win cos the other two will rip them apart.

Just need to approach it with the same level as the everton game
Quick and incisive but not lashing round.

Should be a win but these days, you never know....tbh, we are close to the form we had when we won the league.....the difference is that others are in similar form and that we will lose some very key players for some very crucial games. Selfishly, i really want ACoN to postpone again but money talks, so doubt it will happen....So I expect we will be close as January looms but thereafter, who knows.

in form terms? the teams play is fast with the ball and pretty clinical in terms of finishing. In terms of letting in goals not so much.

In terms results terms this might show:

    Points after match day 14:
    2020/21 31 - final 69
    2019/20 40 - final 99
    2018/19 36 - final 97
    2017/18 26 - final 75
    2016/17 30 - final 76
    2015/16 23 - final 60

We have already spent quite a few nice points like brentford draw and brighton draw not to mention letting city back into it twice.

You are right anything might happen in terms of having a terrible month or whoever so the form has to be sustained over the full course.

I think we have to see that the back line is improving with VVD but theres something off, whatever it is is about balance as we seem to be easy to pull quite wide rather than out vertically and we are finding huge space in our centre as a cb ends up in the full back slot.

Pedant <laugh> You cannot look at our form independently. It’s relative to our competition. So relatively speaking, our form is decent and we can score at will apparently.

As I said the playing form is good but there's something not quite right in the defensive aspect still. Klopp has even said as much he was not happy against Southampton with the amount of easy positions they could find. that's form for me The forward play is quick, one touch, and the finishing is largely clinical so we are not taking 5 to score 1. I think we always created chances but the step up is finishing these.

I just think we are ok in defence in terms of vertical layers but the issue for me is we are getting pulled horizontally in the lines and gaps are opening up. the everton chances are classic examples. On one occasion trent sees it and covers it and stabs the ball out for a corner but we are completely pulled out of the middle to the left side by richarilson. the second time tretn is too wide and not covering and the gap opens as vvd follows richarilson and matip ends up as LCB and gray is in a mile of room to score.

Anyway after 14 games were are a bit behind our title winning or 2nd place form. the title winning team however had it won by christmas. We are only 5 points off the 97 points. Our form is showing us <90 points so that needs to improve. IMO we need a good long run of wins and December/January is the time to do it. we've 3 in a row now and really need to make that 12 in a row before the chelsea game!

I don't see too many shocks in this wolves side.

    Sa
    Kilman Coady Saiss
    Semedo Dendoncker/neves Moutinho Ait Nouri
    Traore/Trincao Raul Hwang
    Podence is a doubt
Neves was suspended last game but should be back
    Marcal - covid head
    neto still out long term
    mosquera out ling term
    Bueno - hamstring
    boly out in decemebr

seems to me they will be fairly structured and the big thing i think we need to watch is that the cbs don't get pulled over and leave jimenez with free headers. he will destroy us if we do. I would be very happy to let them have the wide areas and just tuck in and deal with raul jimenez in the middle.

I see gomez and keita are now back in training.

That only leaves firmino, jones and elliott out.

Firmino meant to be back training next week.

I don’t know why but have a feeling that either City or Chelsea will drop points today. Need to get our normal four goals <whistle>
