No not everyone does these days BC. It's a bit like letter writing. Nobody does that much these days either. Text or even emails at a push now. Mind you there may well be an even newer way to communicate that I haven't come across yet. My son always answers the phone to his mother with "Hello mother". She asked him a while back how he knew it was her without her saying anything as he doesn't have one of those phones that tells you whose ringing. You are the only one who rings on the land line was the answer.

We have been talking about one lying bastard for most of the day today but what about the other one. Old Boris is still insisting that No.10 didn't have a party last year by saying "The No10 party did not break covid rules". So that would be the party that he has been telling everyone didn't happen then. They have been found out and publicly shamed with the latest video footage being shown yet even now are still denying it all. The bloke just gets worse and worse.

We then have the revelations about the lack of exodus from Afghanistan when the Brits and Yanks pulled out. Why would anyone in their right mind ever work for this Country again in those sorts of circumstances. I listened this morning to a bloke in the know about the failure of this Government talking about them being more involved in getting the ex marine and his animals out of the place than people. Well we all love our pets and stuff over here don't we. It was a better good news story than saving some foreign families. The Foreign Office was totally undermanned because it was a weekend and old Dominic was on the beach. Ordered to open all the emails so the PM could report that they had all been read when they weren't. Sounds about right doesn't it.

Rather messy and sad.....we weren't expecting the Americans to capitulate so suddenly and drop everyone in it....so much for training a Afgan army.

The talk about last years Christmas party....is just a smoke screen to cover up their plans for this years party.

Labours Keir Starmer has arranged his party and will not be inviting his Deputy Leader along.

The difference being that this year it won't be illegal but last year it was. It wasn't the Americans who manned our Foreign Office it was our own people who clearly showed they do not have a clue about anything and are led by even bigger morons. This current mob do not take any responsibility for anything. And they lead this Country?????????????? God help us.

    Lies
    No Leadership
Lack of workers in essential jobs
    More lies
    Inflation taking off
    No proper Covid strategy
    More lies
Cabinet Ministers taking holidays whilst others die

Well BC.....Card count up to 13 now.....we have bought ours but haven't started writing them yet....and I haven't been down the PO yet to buy the stamps.

The stamps cost far more than the cards.

I have been looking at the new rules regarding proof of jabs for entry into the ground after todays parliament vote. My son rang me about getting a letter as I don't do mobiles to download anything. I have a letter already that says I've been double jabbed which I needed to go to Malta in October but he tells me this will have expired now so it will have to be renewed as it only lasts for 30 days. I just don't get it. If I have proof of being jabbed and you cannot take a needle full of the stuff out of an arm once it is put in there then why on earth does a letter saying you've had it expire for christ sake. It just makes no sense and creates a system where millions of letters will be generated and posted for no benefit at all. I have read conflicting instructions depending where you look. The beeb news site says that if you don't have a phone you can get a letter and it doesn't expire yet other places says it does. I'm easily confused as it is without all this hassle now being heaped.

    Can't fight progress. ...

I'm glad you mentioned this as we're going on Saturday and I hadn't spotted it.

I have the passport but I don't know how it works. Is it actually on my phone or does it download each time you access it?

if the latter, the phone signal at Home Park is pretty awful when the ground is full which could be a problem when we're all trying to get in....

I have absolutely no idea how it works on a phone. However, I have been reading the guidelines on the Argyle site and had another look at the NHS site and both say a letter presented is ok. Neither say the letter expires and has to be renewed unlike the phone app. I have come around to thinking I don't need to renew. Anyone else know different?

Personally with todays infection figure shooting up to 78,610 cases.....a jump of 20,000 since yesterday...and your Plymouth figure at.....875 cases per 100,000.....200 cases more than around here....I WOULD THINK IT IS SAFER TO STAY AT HOME AND NOT SPOIL CHRISTMAS FOR THE FAMILY.....We could be in lockdown by the 25th....if this new varient is DOUBLING every two days.

Charlton might give us another tonking....twice in a month....remember last years score.....might be best to stay at home anyway.

Your mate Boris stayed at home last year when gatherings were illegal. Trouble is he invited a load of his work mates around as well. I am fed up with staying at home when the powers that be are doing nothing proper to combat anything. It is a waste of time doing half hearted stuff so I'm not bothering too much about doing anything. I still wear my mask in company and crowds but have no intention of staying away altogether.

A NHS Covid Passport letter is valid for 30 days....to renew it generally takes 7 days....that is how I read the NHS website ?

Refusniks storming the gates of Downing street yesterday....claiming that the Government is hoaxing the nation about Covid-19 numbers....what do these people use for brain cells.

90% of those being hospilized have had NO JABS....these people are a liability and should be locked up in some remote dungeon fortress on an island in the North Sea and left to get on with their style of life......check on them all in a year or two.

You can't blame him for something his brother says or does whether you like Corbyn or not. On that basis Boris's dad has been accused of groping women so does that mean Boris is guilty if proved as well.

I'm not sure how these others can even start with Covid denial. However, I can see where conspiracy theorists get their ammunition from. If Politicians around the world weren't so intent at protecting their power at almost any cost and were more honest and trustworthy then the theorists would lose a lot of their argument immediately. I don't for one minute believe the powerful have made this all up to distract from their failings this time but I do believe they would be capable if the need arose. It's their own fault these people exist.
