Great thread and very good to see friendly banter between two sets of passionate fans. Good effort lads. And CanariesSoccer great thread so thanks very much
I must confess I have had a deep loathing for Liverpool and their fans for many, many years - until tonight! What a great bunch that have visited this thread over the last 3 days or so and have helped to make it a truly exceptional piece of cross board harmony
Man of the matches people? For Liverpool it's gotta be Bellamy; the only one good enough to finish one of their countless opportunities. Tough for Norwich, but I'll root for Barnett ahead of Rusty/Ruddy/Holty.
We are a good bunch on here... Enjoyed the American style thread as well! Puts my match threads to shame... Good luck for the season.
Man of the match for me is Suarez. Although he didn't score and wasted a few chances he was a pest all game.
TBH it's bloody hard to pick a Liverpool player but Bellamy was perhaps the best of them. For Norwich - I would go for Pilkington. Constant menace and looked most likely to score throughout the game.
We're a good bunch. For some reason we have an unjust reputation. Being so successful in the past hasn't helped opinions of us to be honest. But trust me don't believe the hype
For me Pilkington and the rest of our midfield guilty of giving away the ball too much. But those where 2 fine crosses by the lad.
That much is certainly true. There is still a belief from other fans that LFC fans think they are still the kings of Europe. Still a good team (very good) but the truly good old days have gone for all of us I fear.
TBH I think we gave the ball away so much because KK did his homework and got his tactics spot-on, we were given no time on the ball, they closed us right down causing our boys to be hurried into action. On another day, Suarez would have scored at least one of his chances and we would have lost! The bad luck we had in our first few games has pretty much evened up now, I'd say
