… attracting interest from WBA and the Scottish National team according to the Daily Fail https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ng-January-swoop-Swanseas-Jamie-Paterson.html Why is it that these players start to be effective as soon as they leave Ashton Gate? Really frustrating. We don’t even get a sell-on fee when they walk on a free.
Some refuse to see it, but was a good player and defiantly under rated .. But it's down to their individual consistency that makes them crap according to some on here..like many others..... but hey, we all see things differently!!
Get ready for the blah blah blah, why that might be.....I'm sure the past will have something to do with it
You may have a point, it must be the rest of the crap that he had to play with, so thanks for pointing that out.
We always knew on his day he was amongst the best in the championship, his biggest fault for us was lack of consistency. He’s also a confidence player, good luck to him.
Excuse me are you pissed? I have always said 100% we never had the midfield to consistently cover for his lack of midfield work.
Really? Non stop moaned more or less every time he played.. always picked up on something.. lightweight, not consistent blah blah..
Mate you are just lying now, yes I said he was and he is lightweight, but I also consistently said that we never had a midfield to accommodate his midfield shortcomings, maybe Swansea do have such a midfield.
No not lying, I remember many of the conversations and you constantly moaning about him.. maybe Swansea do have such a midfield or maybe their tactics accommodates his style
Yep, he's playing regular which gives him the consistency and the confidence which helps a player gel with other regulars..... I imagine, some will say that he had plenty of chances but wasn't performing to Messi's standards.......which makes him crap..
I always said we should have kept Pato as I thought he was a good player, others will say he was one of "the 65", so won't give him any credit. He openly said he didn't want to leave, but what none of us knows is, what were his wage demands? Clearly, it was more than NP thought he was worth, although I'd rather he had put the wages towards Pato rather than his mate Simpson from Leicester who is stealing a living at BCFC's expense. For me, this goes in the NP got it wrong bucket, every manager makes those mistakes, it's part and parcel of football, we move on!
I think letting Patterson go was down to financial constraint and the length of individual player contracts. If Palmer's £20k plus a week contract was up I'm fairly sure he'd have been shown the door. It would have been interesting to see Patterson alongside Williams and James. Hey, saying that injury has plagued our most influential players. It's not easy.
Bristol City record -fact very inconsistent player almost to the point you would get one good game in 5. Hey people have you not thought it is a Bristol City thing where the players over the last 3/4/5 years have had it to easy. NP has come in a ruffled the feathers methinks. A soft underbelly has been mentioned-for me the cozy club comes to mind.
I said this on a previous post-NP had to move players out and reduce the wage bill. Pato was easy to move on-Palmer is on a big fat juicy contract just like Wells and nobody else would match the salary's hence we are stuck with two lazy players on the best part of £80k a week between them. Been a massive waste of money by the man Ashton.
