hope the highlights were not a true relfection of the game? City looked overun and easily second best
It's all the flaskers getting their bovril and hot chocolate. I was one of them - thought I'd nip out early to avoid the half time rush and it still took me 10 minutes. Missed the Millwall goal while standing in the queue. So maybe not all bad...
Hi I think he’s always had desire just touch had been inconsistent , unlike others comments I think he has stopped fouling all the time , he’s a lot less prone to it this season so he’s learnt . He played well against Boro winning a lot of flick ons and yesterday he collected a good ball at halfway and held it up to take pressure off by laying it off . I’m not sure he can improve but he always tries .
I don’t think they were, to be honest. We had plenty more periods of good play which possibly didn’t result in clear-cut chances.
We were the better side in the first half by a margin. We had to soak it up a bit in the second half, but only had 2-3 scary moments and looked dangerous on the break.
Agreed They really pressed us second half and we couldn’t get out or string a few passages of play together but yep great battling and doc is now doing what he did last season. He just needs to offload at the right time.
Cheapest bar and a fair bit of banter. It is just right for how I see supporters bars should be. Mind you I would say that
David Meyler, Ahmed Elmohamady, Paul McShane, George Honeyman. Has any opposition team done more to help this club in the last 15 years? God bless #Sunderland we are forever in their debt. #hcafc Courtesy of Twitter, The Likes of Hull City. Not forgetting of course, the one and only Steve Bruce..... I'll get m'coat.
Just watched the highlights and very impressed with Baxter and some excellent defending. Makes a huge difference when the three centre backs can attack the ball and not get pulled out of position. This looks a totally different side when lined up this way. Lastly Honeyman, what a difference he makes to the side in particular Greg Doherty. Whoever said he wasn’t Championship standard was talking bollocks.
Yep can't disagree with any of them. Meyler and McShane seemed to have City running through the veins.
When I first saw it I assumed it was some sort of in joke between the player and the ref but after seeing the full thing clearly not!
We got them back for Tony Norman and Roy Greenwood. Didn't we give them John Hawley or did he go to Arsenal first.
He didn't do it too much yesterday, there was one foul given which I thought was harsh at the time. But that Boro game you mentioned he did it time after time. Always the same foul, closing someone down, they pass it and then he goes through them. A couple of times that game we intercepted the pass but the ref pulled it back for the foul.
Leeds? I couldn't recall that, but thinking on, you're spot on. Arsenal to Scunny must have been like travelling first class, then going into economy next time.
