This is the match day thread for Today's game, I always post this thread before each game so that you can express your views on the corresponding fixture and can talk between each other during the game,
Please post below comments during the game on how the game is going and the latest score and team news.
Have fun and enjoy the game.
I will update during the game on the latest news in the fixture.
This is open to both Gillingham fans and also the opposition which is Oxford
After the match I will allow you all to create a summary on this thread and I will also provide extra details on the game if they are required or if I want to point anything out. You can talk about what was good about the game and what could have been better. During the game I will update the score and the team sheets as soon as they are available, also at the end I will add the table to this thread as it stands.

Totally speachless but only because I have just about lost my voice <laugh>

What a game, in the second half the ground was rocking, Oxford came for a battle and by heck did they get one against 9 man Gills <ok>

Was we noisy Roy...It was nice at last to have a bit of an atmosphere in the old place !!!! Thought Flitney was fantastic today but so was the whole team . It was a massive result for us today so well done the lads <applause>

We were certainly the extra man, no seats today, standing room only - lol

I've no complaints about Kuffour getting MOM, however, Flitney would of been my choice, despite my early season misgivings, he was and proved to be unbeatable today. How he kept a couple of those 2nd half shots out is beyond me and your right a massive result. So yes well done the lads and Flitneys safe pair of hands.

I thought Matty Lawrence was pretty immense but like you say they were all good. No real complaints with sendings off, Montroses was a legbreaker!! Crowd just under 6000 so an improvement and a better atmosphere.

totally agee brb, flitney motm for me otherwise totally different scoreline(stating the obvious).
montrose(apart from goal) did well also and thought jackman did well for time on the field, whelpdale & rooney off the pace...for whom i had high hopes today!

3 points are what matter, along with more support like today for rest of the season peoples!!!

    WELL DONE LADS <ok>

think martin's sending off was harsh..actually won the ball for me, and montrose also when you look again, due to fact ref did nothing about tackle on the gills player leading up to it from montyand oxford players around him on floor...when ref in a good position to see it all happen in build up?

Just seen on Sky Sports News that Martin clearly won the ball but was rewarded with a second yellow.
If Montrose's challenge was a straight red then so were at least two of the Oxford yellow cards.
The ref appeared to be completely incompetant, continually being fooled by Oxford's diving and moaning tactics.
Flitney was top notch but so were all the boys in the second half, great to see them wearing the shirt with pride.
Really think Roo should have been replaced earlier, ok he is a potential match winner but when it's back to the wall time he is a luxury we can ill afford, we got lucky today let's be honest.
Have to agree with the atmosphere, best I have witnessed since the Charlton game a couple of years back.

    UTG!!!!!!!!!!!

great battling performance especially Lawrance. Flintly was m.o.m though.I think there could be more red cards on tue. Lets hope we can get at least a point on tue.
