Speaking for myself.

Nope. Guy was a mackem manager and spoke against us as their manager and spoke against us as a pundit prior to that in Sky Studios. **** him.

If I hadn't seen capitulation after capitulation time after time again after a half time team talk I would have cut him some slack, I didn't, so **** him.

If I had seen a number of different formations tried for varying circumstances or opponents I would have cut him some slack, I didn't so **** him.

If the players trained hard and there was signs of improvements in their ability I would have cut him some slack, I didn't so **** him.

If I seen some younger players being nurtured, and given some game time in the correct manner I would have cut him some slack, I didn't so **** him.

If I had seen him talking us up, talking like he had some pride, talking like every point mattered I would have cut him some slack, I didn't so **** him.

I won't blame him for transfers as I don't believe they were his decisions.

I won't compare the money he had compared to what Rafa had - NET spend or otherwise as I don't believe they were his decisions.

I will concede he was there or thereabouts with where Rafa finished in the league - however........continue reading.

I would always deep down have thought of him as being a Fat useless mackem-manc ****......... And I don't think the sun rises and and sets in Saint Benitez's ass hole so I can't be tarred with that brush.
So I’m reading you don’t like him.

Same.

Other clubs spent more money and of course you haven't accounted for them 30 million sale of Perez.

I'm this week reading fans saying the players are rubbish yet for 2 years the fans were saying Bruce has the best squad ever assembled at Newcastle under Ashley and that it was all the managers fault we weren't better than 13th and 12th ??

Explain that one to me gentlemen?

I think I can help. It’s called making emotional statements in the moment and flip flopping to suit an entrenched viewpoint. So if someone does well you don’t like, you find a way to belittle those achievements. You will say they’ve got lucky and have had 100m to spend, and in actual fact youve under achieved. Say they liked the previous manager, they will say “he’d have finished in the top 10 with that squad”. You’ve been awarded the best squad to work with. The problem comes when said person does badly and you begin to say how **** a squad he’s assembled and how he’s leaving you in bad shape. The players are crap and not good enough. A polar shift. Some would say contradictory.

This forces you to flip flop back to your original position on being awarded the best squad to work with and it’s purely down to his management. You can get yourself in a right pickle by not remaining objective. It’s like when Rafa went 11 games without a win at start of the season. Entirely Ashley’s fault. Players not good enough because of budgetary restrictions. Fast forward to this season, Bruce’s fault entirely because he had 100m to spend. But the players are **** when the new manager doesn’t get better results. But you’ve still had 100m. Er so yeah they’re your signings and your fault. Er but yeah you’ve had the best squad to work with. **** that doesn’t work does it. Er…Bruce is fat ****ing bacon face. The scouting team must have loved Bruce, he’s shielded them and the owner from any criticism.

It’s a bastard supporting teams and talking about it online <laugh>

Nope: we are bottom. The players are poor and the standards have been set so low that it’s hard to pick them up.

The fact remains that quality this season even moving from last season has gone significantly downhill. Why?

Bruce started the season in dreadful fashion. And the players are that poor and low that I can’t see it getting better.

We didn’t have a scouting team. Bruce didn’t move with the times. The players are average at best and most are poor. The infrastructure was terrible. Coaching staff worse. The facilities where neglected.

You could say that we are not really a premiership club by standards other than the fact we where still in the premiership.

We currently are just a club that is where we are because of many years of neglect by Ashley.

I think overnight I’ve come to terms with the reality that the players and squad which I thought maybe where good enough to get us out of relegation maybe are not. So be it.

I think it gives us more time to plan longer term.

I think we had similar variation under Rafa though. The 11 game winless season was his 3rd season I believe.

Yes but which is it now ?

Are we now saying the players are the problem?

I’m saying the problem is in more than one area. The players and manager got it right towards the end of last season.

And since we didn’t change much then that suggests that it’s a combination of the two for this season.

Did we get lucky last season with Willocks goals? Maybe.

Could the takeover and the changes have had a negative impact on the players confidence?

So surely Bruce did well then?

He did well last two seasons looking back. I’m not going back there we have been there before. I threw my records out last season.

This season it went wrong. The people who are directly at fault for it are Bruce and the players.

That's fine I just don't understand why fans that spent 2 years arguing Bruce should be getting better that 13th and 12th with this group of players age today saying Howe can only work with what he's got and the players afe championship players.

Bruce will be looking at the results at Newcastle and the Great rafa this season and grinning from ear to ear.
