Just got back in - disappointing is one word.

Take the lead - Grimes gives the ball away, they score.

‘Score’ a great goal only to find that inexplicably Piroe ran ahead to be offside ….

Talking of offside, Carroll looks a good yard offside, yet the Lino waved him on …. Why don’t we ever get the rub of the green?

Second half Manning has a glorious chance on his left to score - decides to pass - ball comes back to him much further out, on his right foot - decides to shoot and scores

Switch off again and they score straight away….

Number of chances later on - 2 separate incidents in the six yard box when we just have to score but don’t ….

Can’t really blame Hamer for any of the goals - he also pulled off a great save

Laird was sh*te - seemed scared to attack his marker.

Williams played well within himself - seemed scared of making a mistake

Manning is better in defence - we thought we missed Bidwell

Please start Downes ahead of Smith

Worst I’ve seen Grimes play in a while - cost us a goal

Paterson was Ok, as was Ntcham but Piroe was average.

In short, it was ‘one of those games’ - we have played worse and won. Today was one where we should have got something out of the game but ….

Very disappointing today and very cold...was that why the players didn’t do their jobs?
Very sloppy slow and aimless...every time we had a chance to break their press we stopped and passed through captain marvel slowly and allowed. reading all the time to organise...
Why are S2ansea afraid to tackle Carroll....he. isn’t the fastest on two feet now but he was allowed to sweep all around him to score easily...no one shone out today.
We need a kick up the....

Didn't see it yesterday as was at a Thanksgiving lunch with some American friends. Just watched the highlights and it looks like we gifted them 2 goals. Not clear from the highlights if their goal was offside, it appeared to be.
Again I don't understand why Walsh doesn't come off the bench. Also it looks as though Fulton will be off in Jan but he can play a role again coming off the bench to bring some stability in the last quarter of the game.

Yes - Grimes gifted the first and Naughton the third.

Whilst we were not quite level with Carroll - our seats are nearer the South Stand - he looked a good yard offside and the Lino was behind play.

As for Fulton, he’d have been useful to have either in Midfield or, we think, to cover Bennett’s position <cheers>

    Per Berkshire Live:

There were some unsavoury scenes between the players and staff of both clubs after the full-time whistle.

The nature of what happened is not exactly clear, but certainly Swansea goalkeeper (and Reading academy graduate) Ben Hamer appeared to take offence to something which had been said.

Reading coaches Quinton Fortune and Marko Mitovic tried to act as peacmakers with the shotstopper as he went down the tunnel at the end.

In his post-match press conference, Swansea boss Russell Martin said he was already back in the changing room at the time of the incidet although he did feel the need to say: "I just wish I had been there to protect my staff."

I still can't work out what Martin's plan is. If its not broken don't fix it, why did he have to change the defence after Tuesdays win, was there pressure from Liverpool to play Williams? Was he played to avoid financial penalties being invoked due to lack of playing time?
If we are going to play with a defensive midfielder then put a proper defensive midfielder like Downes in from the start, if not Jay Fulton, Don't alternate between Smith and Ntcham.
Looking at the table, the top two are already up, the bottom three are already down, anyone from WBA down to Reading can get into the play offs, it's a very weak division which makes this home defeat even more frustrating.
