I've seen all kinds of terrible PMs from Gordon Brown to May ...

... but at least they could be arsed.

Reading this thread it appears the Labour opposition are to blame for everything when they're not in power ...

... but also to blame for everything when they are in power.

Labour councils get the blame for their lack of money and services when they’ve had the most cuts. It’s bizarre. I honestly just want the people who need help in this rich man’s world to get it. Whichever party provides it, but political ideology makes them cut support to the needy. What kind of ideology does that ? I just don’t get it.

Sad but true, Cummings was the brains behind all the 3 word slogans, since he's been jetistoned by Carrie, the wheels have come off....

We are many, many years away from anyone with half a brain getting into Downing Street unfortunately. The current generation on both sides are like those inbred halfwits you get after a family's been left on it's own in the woods for too long. An incestuous little gang who've been nowhere near the real world for decades, and it'll take decades and a lot of bravery from the electorate to fix. It means giving nobody longer than a single term until they start earning it rather than voting for a rosette colour.

I had the misfortune to watch Starmer getting interviewed the other morning, god help us if that’s the alternative.

I think that's the biggest problem with politics at the moment, when it comes around to putting a tick in the box I honestly believe most people vote for who they think will do the least damage.
How can you choose to vote for someone to run our country when you look at all the options and think **** is there anyone else to choose from.
I've said before I don't support any one party, I vote for who I think will benefit me and my family, problem now is when I look I can't see any positives with any of them

I do exactly the same mate, can’t understand why someone votes for a party because they always have, sad to say but you are voting for the party you think can do the least damage.

When I look at policy I like the Greens best and vote for them when there are 3 votes and PR but despite that I end up voting to get the one out I like the least which is why I think som form of PR would be a good thing.

said it for long enough now, todays kids are not educated as we were...i think ours was the last year at our school that was not allowed calculators in class and exams, we were taught to use our hands as well with woodwork, metalwork etc...the girls did what our school called 'domestic science' which involved cooking, needlework/general home keeping stuff, i think every school had a garden of some description.

i believe most, if not all of these have been removed for one reason or another (mainly health and safety along with compensation culture) calculators are not only allowed but needed in some cases, practical work was pushed to one side, even homework now seems to consist of 'go on the internet, search for *a subject* print out a page or two'...ffs we had to get to our nearest public library and join up, then when needed we had to head there and trawl through many books until we found one we could use as a reference to the homework and write out an essay, we got marked down or lost marks for not showing our working out in maths, what do they do now 'i pressed this button and this button and then pressed the add sign'.

then we get onto these 'elite' schools where the pupils only get a place if their parents pay enough, i have long suspected this is also the way they get qualifications (especially after cameron showed he had zero idea about the magna carta) and most are guaranteed top jobs simply because of who they are and these 'advisors' are needed to make them sound as if they actually have a clue...i have also said for many years that we should get a housewife in number 10, someone who has had to work with a working mans wage and somehow managed to make ends meet, rather than silver spoon people that have never had to do without a single thing.

we will never get anyone in power that will do as the population needs until we lose this idea that billionaires actually care about the poorer in society.
