If we only purchase one player in the January transfer window who would you want. Realistic ‘wants’ only. I know we are going to be buying more than one but for the purposes of this thread and this poll only one player who is top of your realistic list would you want above all others.

Would it be a Tarkowski or an Ake or even a Beke?

 

Coutinho for me. We need someone to make us tick and to link defence with attack. Someone to hold the ball and be able to create and score. He would do that and that would help the defence as well as the attack. The other side can’t score if we’ve got the ball.

Not sure really. But my top 2 would definitely be a holding midfield to win the ball, and a ball player to dictate the play. That is what has been missing for ages, Shelvey and Hayden are not the answer. Willock is fine as our box to box if he can sort his fitness issues out.

So on that basis I've picked the only ball winner.

 

Gone with Van de Beek. He was so good at Ajax and has the ability to run a game from the middle. He should also be hungry to prove himself after being basically ignored by ManU.

 

Yeah I went between the two. Van De Beek's treatment at Man U is mind boggling. He won't leaving now though if Rangnick is coming in. The ****s.

Trippier followed by coady. Defence is key.

 

Zinchenko. Our left side is the weakest part of the team.

 

Gone for Kamara. That is the No1 priority position.

Newcastle suffer fresh blow to their January transfer spending plans after Premier League extend ban on the club agreeing sponsorship deals with Saudi Arabian companies

The Premier League have risked further tension with Newcastle by extending their ban on related-party sponsorship deals until the middle of next month.

The moratorium on clubs signing new commercial contracts, which was introduced last month as a direct result of Newcastle's Saudi takeover, was due to end next Tuesday but will now run until December 14 at the earliest.

Premier League sources told Sportsmail that the ban has been extended to give the clubs more time to agree to new rules, which will also outlaw players and staff receiving payments from partner clubs
