Surely people should credit the lad and be please for him and th club? It feels like people want him to fail rathe than acknowledge they may have been wrong? I might yet be wrong but I don't think I will be.

I agree with you: he’s improved immensely this season. You can tell he is going to be just fine in Howes style of play. To say he is our best player is to early for me mind. Back end of last season I would have said Willock. ASM is our best asset. He’s been poor in many games mind. If Joe can play like he did against “Brentford” all season then that would be brilliant.
People will be after him again on Saturday but he's been one of the better players for ages Longstaff gets a free ride because he's from here.. He's been absolutely useless for years
Joelinton is a 40m player compared to Longstaff being a 5m player. You can’t compare them. Country miles apart. I think Joe is a confidence player aswell. I think Howe is a good man manager. So should get the best out of him. For me our season started last week. Although we didn’t win we played far better. I think we will probably lose against Arsenal buy the performance is more important in some ways. Our front three a a massive threat. Miggy may also raise his game. In Jan if we can get in a decent CM to go next to Shelvey. And a LB and a CB. I think we stand a chance of survival.
In some games where deployed in a role he doesn’t do then yes. Buy you can’t knock his effort that’s always been there. He has also never gave up. Longstaff just trudges through games like he has treacle on his boots.
His ability had always been there to see. Seem him doing some very skillful things over the last year and his passing is brilliant. He can do things none of the others can
