There was an interview with Charlie put out by the club which I saw on Facebook.
In it he explained that he took time away from the club recently in order to spend time with his family.
This possibly explains his struggle with fitness etc.

Down to the grandmother being seriously ill and subsequently dying I think !

He played on painkillers and has really suffered for it.
