My adage is only bad news or negative news gets read by the masses .. a nondescript individual can post for yonks and no one takes notice then a negative comment against the mainstream hits a button in a couple of peeps and all the amoebic brains jump on and before you know it all hell lets loose. Take the amoebic IQ zero's of insulate those pond life who have insulated brains against reality and the truth. ... save the planet .. so stick themselves to roads or block rights of way causing miles of traffic to idle, pumping tons of CARBON into an already saturated atmosphere that 15 days of 300 countries meeting to try and avoid at cop26. mates go to goal, so protest at the law breakers getting a just sentence, and do not understand there incarceration means money spent on keeping them there is less spent / available in the wider picture to spend on useful things like solar/insulation/carbon elimination and wasted on useless things like amoebic lemmings gluing themselves to roads ...........
We are going down to East Devon for the weekend. Of the 2 pubs we usually frequent, one didn't survive the lockdowns and has since permanently closed. The other one, and always the more popular of the two, have a notice on their website saying that they no longer offer food after 20.00 on a Sunday, and offer no food at all on Monday's or Tuesday's due to severe staff shortages. The hotel we are staying in has also implemented a staggered dinner and breakfast service, which makes me think they are also experiencing staff issues. We shall see...……..
my local on the mendips closes after Sunday lunch and reopens on Tuesday [ think might be dinner time ] been going there since 1972 [ 71? but odd occassion back in the 60's] ....! have my own pewter pot .. now you get first pint in it then have to decant any more! about £3.70 a pint, 50p more than pre covid....
