This was the serious question I was going to ask @Diego before he spat his dummy out.
Have Ronnie's goals bailed out a poor team on occasion - or is he actually one of the causes of the problem because he unbalances the team?

He is a bit of a luxury player, which isn't necessarily a problem if the other 10 people are putting in the workrate.

10 players working hard and well coordinated and one luxury player scoring for fun could be a winning combination.

11 uncoordinated individuals, one of whom is above the rest... Won't work.

Not Ronaldo's fault though. It's the manager who sets the strategy

I think we should get in the festive mood and help the manc out.

nobody has even done a villareal v man utd match thread on thier board yet.

I mean carrick is at the wheel. big changes are coming. big big changes apparently.

their line up isn't out yet but one can only presume that givens the manc fans seem to think that they can play beaky and ratface fernandes and ronaldo and rashford and sancho all at one with nobody track back its going to be interesting.

In the end last season as a quick review: Utd looked far fitter (huge amount of injuries this season and lads like shaw and maguire on the pies) and far more defensive in shape with blockers in front of the slab. .

now thier goals against in the prem was not even as good as our woeful effort but they thought it was great so what do stats say over that delusion? Even arsenal were better defensively.

Its only 6 months since they were "competing" with city, in the FA cup Qf and going to win the europa and that.

    De gea
    AWB lindeloff Maguire Shaw
    Mctominay Fred
    Fernandes
    James Martial Rashford

With al the pens they got it really fired them to glory. I have not seen so many pens this year.

Looking at that front 3 it really is run and flop stuff.

    my predicted man utd team

    De Gea
    Wan-Biscuit Lindelof Maguire Telles
    McTominay Van de Beek
    Sancho, Fernandes Rashford
    Ronaldo
completely unbalanced side. Full backs exposed totally. Maguire like the evergreen trying to turn in the suez canal.

433 and fernandes DROPPED. clearly no pens to take.

Carrick has gone for 3 to block in front of slab head. sancho and martial to run about while ronaldo watches.

Tottenham post £80.2m 2020-21 pre-tax losses as debt rises £101m | Daniel Levy: We remain ambitious
Chairman Daniel Levy cites "damaging timing" of Covid pandemic coinciding with the opening of Spurs' new stadium, adding: "We have come a long way and we have so much further to go. We remain relentlessly ambitious and are determined to deliver honours and make our supporters proud"

Soooooo..... whats their actual debt levels now? £706million.

theres a small club out in spain thats got more debt mind but they seem to have decided to change their president and all of that and have to rely on frees and letting best players to to pay it down.

Spurs seem relentlessly determined to run their club into the ground and go under.

when i read the sky ports bit Levy seems to want to conflate two years together in the numbers for gate losses and fudge how much they have lost in the actual 20/21 period and what that means going forward? Can they balance the books in 21/22 or will they announce another increase in this debt to higher than the value of their great white toilet of a stadium?

btw LFC debt levels were reported to be £268mil with 71 of that owed to FSG over the period at 8mil per year on main stand. we supposedly took 197mil in credit to cover the covid period and have been paying it back as didn't need it all.

some people have made a big deal about this loan but many clubs did it and we need to see the next years books and such to see what the true level is. what did we really spend of the 197mil and how much was paid back etc

This is actually a very important point - United aren't getting the stupid amount of penalties they were getting over the past 2 year .

Difference between 2nd and 8th. Run at box and flop tactic is out of fashion.

    Yessss the dream is on.

Villareal fail to score due to crap forwards then absolutely gift Ronaldo a tap in for goal 9f the season and michael carrick is now a lock for a 3 year contract.

I think I said a jam result would help us out here.
