Pete on GC, someone has been posting his mobile number and address up in the tags. The trouble is I can't identify whose doing it. Someone also created a Pete sock. He threatened if I didn't find out who his stalker was or at the very least stop them doing it, he would go to the police and his local mp. Despite the fact it took me all of 3 seconds to find out how they knew his details, plastered on google and he uses his real name and pictures of himself on here. I warned him a very long time ago, about him using his real details, like I'd tell anyone the risks, do people listen, no. So it creates several problems, one is I have to stop whoever is doing it from doing it, hence the tag function removal. The other thing I'm not happy about, is I've got an individual using GC that despite spamming the site with twitter a majority of the time, that is potentially happy to call the authorities on us if he feels the need. That has implications for everyone, particularly those that post within in GC. Now I'm not getting into the rights and wrongs of GC, I don't own the site. He's finally listened to some of my advice and removed some personal details from his account.

No I never have been able to, I thought everyone knew that, as it was a subject that's been brought up numerous times. For some reason it's not something built into the software when I read up on it onetime on xenforo.
Just bin him off, problem solved. He does nothing but post inflammatory racist and bigoted ****e anyway, backed up by Dunc, DMD and Custard. A lot of the **** they post borders on hate speech anyway, they are lucky the feds haven’t shut them down already.
It's not problem solved for numerous reasons. Plus it's not the right reason to bin him off, someone was posting his details up, I'm sure everyone of you would expect me to do something about it if it was you. Whoever was doing it on here, and let's face it, it was probably someone on here, why don't they use their account and grow some balls if they've got a problem with him. I don't think you guys have worked me out, that I tend to look at things from both sides of the fence. In regards to GC itself, everyone knows I don't go there, that's down to Mick. If it was my site GC wouldn't exist but then nor would this forum ever have existed because GC were here before us.
Fair point mate. I think Pete is a racist waste of space, but posting his personal details on here was out of order
I think in time the forum will have to change anyway, especially once the government start pushing through bills on social media regulations. I know what changes I would make to the functioning, but that's for another day, when I think it's appropriate to have that conversation with the owner. Anyway this is the food thread, we best depart.
