    I thought about leaving early but my route is straight into the Estate to the 95 bus on the A40 so I thought I'd be fine which I was.

    As to the police presence, surely it's like that every time Millwall visit, isn't it?

    Totally agree, just its very interesting to read posts about fans experience of before and after the match regarding the Police and their treatment of home fans, not the specific of a horrendous injury to a fellow human being. I am now thinking twice about travelling to Derby and Sheffield on my own

    Who are the worst group of fans? Birmingham, Millwall, Cardiff ... and now Luton? I don't like to see any opposing fan end up in ITC, but my daughter and I escaped a rather unpleasant episode with Brentford fans in Ellerslie Road ( Near Abdale Road ) a couple of years ago. Deeply distressing. Thankfully they're grown up and no longer go to games.

    It doesn't matter what team you play, if your unfortunate to bump into their idiots, you're at their mercy. These idiots are at every club. Every new generation generates more. How do yo stop it ?

    What would happen if there was never any police/steward presence? At some point would those who use football as an excuse to hurl racist, sexist, homophobic chants whilst wanting to kick the **** out of anyone for any reason actually not bother, due to zero reaction?

    Unfortunately with two opposing groups of fans there would always be a reaction
    I went to one game at Fulham and there was a group of pissed up qpr fans trying to start fights with other qpr fans
