I was thinking exact same thing. Exactly that. Even if it means paying an OTT compo to PSG, get him in now. Poch is the best manager and the best fit.

I know there are a lot of Ronaldo supporters on this board but does anyone think that signing him was a big mistake? Undermines Maguire's captaincy, Bruno now having to play second fiddle when he was arguably your most important player, and puts Ole in an awkward position where he is the manager but Ronaldo is seen as the main guy.

I don't get this Fernandes playing second fiddle bit, they don't play in the same position. Weird.

And as for Maguire, he's not fit to be captain anyway. And, if he feels Ronaldo is overshadowing him in some way, perhaps he ought to find a louder voice and some leadership, instead of shrinking away to nothing.

You get Ronaldo as a centre forward for two years, what's not to like?

It's a ridiculous media driven suggestion that he's somehow a problem. I'm fairly certain it's not in his contract he has to play every game. Cavani is injured half the time, so they can share that role.
As is Rashford as it goes, so he can also play there. He's part of a squad, how is having someone of that ability a problem ffs?

The only problem is that Ole was found wanting in being able to manage these players.

Ronaldo is always the easy target. Always the pantomime villain. It's like people and especially the media will look for any reason to hate on him. Some have never got over the Rooney sending off in the World Cup 15 years ago. Others, just the fact he played for United and went on to become one of the best players the game has ever seen.

As for Bruno, it would be nice if people had actually watched his form over the past 12 months before commenting. Over the past year, he has gone from being a creative, influential midfielder to someone who's frustrated and stifled by the style of football. Well, well before Ronaldo ever arrived.

People were saying 8/9 months ago he was "too tired" because he was playing every game. Now it's "Ronaldo's fault". Neither of those things were (or are) the root cause or even a contributing factor to his poor form. It's largely down to a disjointed, ever changing starting 11 and changing formation coupled with dire, one dimensional, coward football.

I am one of those CR supporters being referred too earlier. I was overjoyed that he joined us instead of City.

However as I have said many times weeks ago there is no doubt in my mind that Ole’s inability to fit him in/use him appropriately in the squad accelerated his downfall. He seemed over awed by his presence. Of course it’s not CR’s fault if people can’t manage him.

What we need is a top manager who can command the respect of ALL the players. And that includes CR. The other question is for now would Carrick be any different? Is he the new voice in the dressing room to do that reset? How does Carrick ‘manage’ CR without upsetting him or the rest of the squad?

Yes, let’s try to get Pochetino now and pay the high compo involved if he’s willing to join soon. FFS we are supposed to be one of biggest clubs in the world. Rather than squander tens of millions on players who don’t even play, why not use some of that money to get the key person in all of this: a decent manager. Nothing is guaranteed that he’ll do well. But at least he’s got the right CV and experience.

I can't understand why anyone seriously thought he'd manage any other club than Real Madrid.
they're more likely to pay you off to not bother him than the other way around, you're not close to their financial level.

And that statement is why most people think Man Utd fans are nothing but gob-****e glory hunting twats who know **** all about football.
Zidane ain't coming and never was, Poch ain't gonna come until he's failed at PSG. They're a better team, have a better infrastructure and a lot more money than you.
You lot are living in the past, much like the Liverpool fans were until Klopp.

I don't recall anyone saying Zidane ever would but we should be bookmarking the second bit as Poch most certainly would come.

And, if it's not immediate, it would be end of season. Where I would put money on him having at least just won the league, so won't have failed.

Unless the rules are he has to win CL to be deemed non failure.

Zidane doesn't speak English so no chance he come to England plus he wants the French job, Not sure about Poch either, the Ajax one looks the best option long term.

lol, I'm just stating facts, you think it's a wum and I'm upset, just like you still think my predictions of 6 or 7 years ago were, despite history showing them to be 100% accurate.

I wonder whether managerial contracts can be broken mid term subject to compensation. They held firm with Mbappe and refused to let him go till the end of his contract. Does this apply to managers too? I recall a case a long time ago when an organisation refused to let their employee leave and was taken to court. Can’t remember the details.

I thought you were joking. You're being serious? Well if Poch doesn't want to come here then why would PSG need to pay us? And if Poch does want to come (which btw is being widely reported) then PSG would need to pay him off, not us.

Based on that reality, I think it would've been better if you'd claimed it was a joke lol

Haven't we just seen a contract being broken mid-term by a manager, with Stevie Me?

Do you think we should wait until the end of the season to employ a proper permanent manager?
