Whilst United continue to be run by 'know nothing about soccer' Americans and people like Ed Woodward, the likelihood of them succeeding is pretty low. They've just appointed a Director of Football in John Murtough, who has been at the club since Moyes brought him there in a lesser capacity. Is he the man to apply the changes that are so badly needed? I'm sceptical. He's steeped in the problems that the club has created for themselves since Ferguson left and one would expect that he had some input into the extension of Solskjaer's contract in the summer (and all of his backroom staff), the signing of Ronaldo, the failure to move on myriad players who have no place in the squad and should have left years ago - Lingard, Lindelof, Phil Jones, Mata, Martial, etc., etc. If he did, it's a bad start. If he didn't, what ****ing use is he? Is he suddenly going to have the authority, experience and drive to challenge the mediocrity that pervades the club, like it had done at Spurs since we left WHL? If I was a United fan, I'd have my doubts and would want someone who has experience of doing that exact job successfully, somewhere else. Preferably at a big club. This bloke looks like an appointment to provide more of the same. Until United overhaul their entire management and its structure and commit to excellence over anything else, they're a club lacking what it takes to be successful.
Gary Neville on sky "United were never interested in Conte".... no wonder that club are in such a mess.
Dear Sky Sport, I know the best thing ever has happened for you up the road at old Trafford but can I bring it to your attention that there is a game in N17 at 16.30 so do you think you could possibly get your nose out of Man Utds arse crack and cover this game for at least 95 mins
Bit odd to sack a caretaker mid-season Especially since they brought that caretaker in three years ago...
For all the commentators banging one out about City being great in the first half there would have been nothing to show other than Stirlings dive if Cancelo hadn't pulled out that pass. For all their superiority City only had 4 attempts on target.
hard to think of a manager who has not Smithy, but If you want real money for failure get a government contract for piss poor PPE or test and trace , you could afford to buy Spurs from that pot
Cue people accusing him of faking it cos it's a plastic bottle...completely ignoring it's fill with water!
Seems like he’s going to have a nasty bruise but he managed to walk off with all the players so hopefully he’s “ok”. He gets up at around 4 mins in the video.
