I still don’t understand why this team can’t achieve just that. It annoys me thinking about anything short of that outcome simply because the talent is there. Oh well!

At the start of the season, we would not even bat an eyelid for that outcome. Top 3 and CL knockout stages. Ridiculous how the wheels have come off. I am so disappointed that Ole just couldn’t cope with the arrival of CR and its consequences. I honestly never in my lifetime in football seen such a collapse.

we were consistently **** under OFarrell. We were not in the top 3 and then collapsed the following season.

I was just about to post The Times are reporting he's been sacked.

Glazers have reportedly instructed Richard Arnold to negotiate Solskjaer's departure.

The original "no decision made" statement will hold with the club until Monday, they can't announce a major decision such as sacking the manager until the Stock market has been informed.

So looks like Phelan's leaving with Ole.

Fletcher and Carrick in interim charge. Fcking hell, I hope to fck we get someone in quick. Anyone who thinks the football's going to improve with both them is naive.

The fact we don't have anyone lined up shows just how unfit for purpose our heirarchy is from top to bottom. ****ers.

When i look at some of the players reactions today i feel a deep fracture in the squad that maybe even a new manager can't fix.
Bruno pointing to the players when the crowd boo'd Ole, de Gea's interview where he talks about watching the players in front of him and is lost for (or doesn't want to speak) words.
Some are saying Ronny has caused problems, they could be right but for the wrong reasons. I don't think Ronny has a problem with Ole or vise versa, what i can imagine is some players grumbling among themselves about the wages Ronny is on and questioning why he isn't expected to chase back etc.
This ****e may not end with a new manager unless we get a man who is prepared and happy to drop disruptive players/clicks.

Most clubs would not have allowed a player like Pogba to stick around for so long collecting hefty pay while his agent runs his mouth against the club. There were many instances where the club should have put its foot down and said that enough was enough. But we never got this. We dragged on and on.

I bring the Pogba situation back into focus because it represents what is wrong with the club at the very top level. It’s the same people that needed to have acted after we lost to Liverpool but they all went into hiding holding unto hope to avoid making difficult decisions.

I bet most players have a problem with Ronaldo because he calls it what it is. From training to performance on the field. He probably feels like he’s surrounded by bunch of big time Charlies.

I’ve said it before that Abramovich is the best owner when it comes to taking decisive action to move his team forward while still gambling by employing ex-Chelsea players. I wish Glazers had half his balls.

That’s an insult to conference league clubs. Most at that level continually pull rabbits from hats.

Should go with Giggs, he's good at bullying girls into doing what he wants them to do, just what you need.

Pochettino in summer is the big rumour, we happy with that?

Better than Rodgers, better then a very reluctant Zidane, better probably than a Premier league inexperienced Ten Hag.

Pochettino has been the preferred candidate when Mourinho left and Ole got his caretaker role.

More importantly what happens to the club from now to the summer? Carrick is now manager for the next few games. He’s obviously deserved that promotion with the sterling coaching job he did with our players recently hasn’t he?, And as important he will be around to “guide or help” any interim manager. <doh> This is less a world class club more a Sunday league set up where mates or ex players are given key coaching roles. Doesn’t the club deserve the best coaching talents around?

Giant in financial terms possibly but indisputably pygmies in footballing ones.
