They have to though, it's a clear.yellow flag scenario. Theres a.massive difference between hard race (which is not ignoring rules) and whizzing past.double.waved yellows.

The lot if then have to lose that time and take.penalities.

If nothing else the horner and wolff can simply.exchange their briefing notes.and Horner can play the hard done by and wolff can accuse him of cracking under the heat.

I agree but they are looking for a way out, why delay otherwise. Under normal circumstances they would have just imposed the penalty but they have delayed it, why? Can only be they are looking for a loophole. I am conviced there is a conspiracy to try and make Max the champion but he is not making it easy for them. Lets see.

I'd say deluded would be expecting Max to get a penalty. You'd have more chance getting a straight answer out of pm bojo than seeing Verstappen taking a penalty.

F1 does want a new champion to breathe some life in to the sport, hence looking to hinder the Merc with floor changes. And I do totally understand it. I really do.

Overall this season, I would say Max has been the better driver between the two. He has been quite on top form. So if he somehow misses out on it, I will have some sympathy for him. I couldn't care less about RBR though. But on saying that. I have no real love for Merc either.

I remember FIA changing the rules every 5 seconds in the early 00s to stop Ferrari but the floor change wasn't just to hurt Mercedes how would they know it be only them?

They did, and they did. Just look at the points drop off for both Merc and Aston Martin, which are very similar vehicles. It was quite intentional, and I'm glad they did it... otherwise we'd have another championship that's as boring as hell.

Must be good odds on only Sainz and Bottas only getting penalties.

Max Verstappen, who originally qualified second on the grid, is under investigation for allegedly failing to respect yellow flags in the final minutes of qualifying. The hearing will not take place until tomorrow morning.

He is one of three drivers who could be penalised, along with Valtteri Bottas (who originally qualified third) and Carlos Sainz Jnr (seventh). But there is a potentially significant differences between the cases: Bottas and Sainz passed single waved yellow flags, Verstappen passed double waved yellow flags, which is a more serious infraction

Thanks. Concerned perhaps a better choice of words. Masi's weasel words on the radio in Brazil concerned me. Last time I heard someone talk like that it was someone you wouldn't trust an inch. He was a back stabbing individual with no talent except to disrupt, not Masi, the person I knew.

I can't remember the the times on the previous Q3 run but the easy answer will be deletion of the yellow flag time and revert to the earlier time. Justification being the electronic yellow flags were not working.

I'm not sure how tongue in cheek they're being, but certain commentators in the know are suggesting penalties make actually come mid race for the 3 yellow flag amigos. Just to add to the FIAs total loss of control of late.

Though as I write this I've just seen a decision is due at 12:05 our time,

They still haven't announced the results yet!!! Can only think reason for more delays is completely political and it's just making stewards decisions look more stupid and contrived!!!

    As it should be.

Should never have been ambiguous to start and double yellows should have been in place all through that sector.

    Masi is shocking.
