We always knew the time up to the transfer window would be like treading water. Its a great chance for Howe to show what he has got though. The players should be playing for the places in the future set-up. Will be interesting to see who steps up.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Lascelles get back to the form he showed under Benitez, where he was actually one of our stand out players, as was Shelvey for a while.

 

Howe pointedly talked about the importance of Shelvey today. We shall see….

 

He's going to say whatever he can to get the best out of the current players, Shelvey is a lazy **** but he's the only CM who can pass the ball well when he wants to.

He wants to be told how good he is, if that's what it takes to get the best out of him until he can be replaced then so be it.

I've just pulled a blinder for the Norwich game like, car needed its MOT so said to the Mrs to take the day off and we'll head into town for an early lunch, before I pack her on her way to the garage with the car and have a 7 hour session pre kick off
