    Grand Bornand.

Closest area to drive to in a Motorhome.

It's a great crack. I know it probably sounds a bit daft but it really is good fun. Probably last time we all do it as well as I think both my sons will be on school trip in 2023 (if they are allowed one) so me and the two girls will have a short trip by plane nearby.

The eldest unlikely to go with us after that.

As you say mate, it's under warranty so they will sort it, just means you are grounded for a while, unless you can pick up a cheap bike in the meantime to keep you active (that's not a dig btw). <ok>

Ive just sold my old bike, might be able to borrow one for a while I suppose.

Yeah it’ll get fixed up, just a massive pita until then. And like you mention, it not a cheap bike so I expected better. But I suppose **** goes wrong even on £100k Tesla cars, so I’m just gonna have to suck it up for now

I don't know anything about bikes, I got banned from them many years ago <laugh> but expect there must be a cheap one knocking about somewhere locally.

It’s actually the shock rather than the bike. The brand is Fox which is a quality piece of equipment, just trying to google now if there have been any problems with this shock.

I’ve got a mate who’s got several bikes, he’s a bit precious about them, but I’m sure I can work on him to lend me one <ok>

Yeah, one night en route there and back.

Usually stop off in France an hour or so after getting off Eurotunnel or ferry, then straight down the following day. Went to Les Menuires in it once and had to stop off for another night in Moutier as would have been heading up the valley in the dark and snow otherwise.

Then head off back Friday after ski and some tea. Usually drive about three hours to past Dijon and then bed down for the night, then straight to Calais next day. Will then usually stop off again in England the Saturday night an drive home in daylight on the Sunday.

110 bench today which is nothing special but compared to where I was a few months ago is good.

Yes I know no one cares.

That's good, more than i'm currently managing.

Out of interest, was that 310kg leg press genuine?

No idea what the press itself weighs, but had 75kg on either side last night. Testing out the knee, so was comfortable enough, but no way could I double that.

Yeah. The slanted leg machine thing where your head is basically in the floor rather than the more upright one.

Did a bit of research and put my hands behind my head while doing it and had feet at a slightly obtuse angle which helps keep the form good. Bear in mind I’m pushing 15 stone at the moment and you’ve probably got 20 years on me. Trying to get my dad to do more as he’s starting to worry me.

I think I could have put another 25 plate each side and ground out a couple or reps but was bothered by knee strain. Although this is supposed to be kinder on them than extensions, for example.

Can't do squats but i'm ok with dead lifts, so do a few of those weekly and that's it for legs.

I'm on my own too, would fancy an extra 20 plate each side on the bench to crank out a couple of reps but with no ****er spotting me I keep it to what I know I can push back.

It's good, i'm away twice a week so do 90 mins each of those nights on the gym. Keeps me ticking over.

Going home tonight to give my eldest (15) a couple of circuits at home to sort his skinny arse out, at his request.

All there is is an eezy bar and a couple of dumbbells, not got much by way of plates.

He can't even do one proper press up. I know he won't do them but may as well show him.

the only weight i use is a 2kg dumbbell which i have been using to strengthen my arm which has a triceps with less than 10% function and had ended up just hanging loosely . I quickly learned i had to be really careful not to over do any exercise that put strain on the triceps or it would just stop working entirely . I have spent 4 years gradually working it and now have moderate strength in the arm but could still do with building up the biceps more as that to some extent can compensate for lack of triceps function .
Any exercises that might help would be gratefully received .

I honestly wouldn’t be comfortable recommending the wrong thing but a proper knowledgeable PT specialising in what you need would be well worth looking into if you haven’t. Probably loads of resources for free online but just have to be careful what you trust.

As a rule, people tend to overdo biceps and underdo tris but appreciate your situation isn’t the usual.
