I'm sorry but I see black and white and lots of other hues and shades in between. It's how one deals with that reality that makes the difference.
I agree with what he's saying, that's how it should be. Not talking about racism can only work though, when everyone doesn't focus on people's race or colour.
Just gone and had a look. Wow! Have to admit I have no knowledge of it at all and it's difficult to form an opinion without context. Reading it now, all I can see is this detail "revelations of a sexting incident involving a former Cricket Tasmania employee".
Maybe we could get Smithy back Looks like some tabloid dragged up something that had been sorted but, that seems to be the world we live in. Shame for his family as they appeared to have come to terms with it. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-11-19/cricket-australia-tim-paine-sexting-scandal/100634922
It's not whether you see different colours, it's whether you treat someone differently because of their colour. There are a minority of black people pushing the differences but the vast majority of those opening up race divisions are virtue signaling, privileged white people. Your privilege is based on economics, not on your colour.
Neither Freeman nor MLK were being literal. Of course there are differences. Why did you say that you see the differences? That's what I picked up on.
Which is why I also said, "...and how do you do it without it sounding like you're holding the whole of the majority of being guilty of it." Also helps not to see it as taking sides. But it definitely goes both ways. The tarring of all by the few always escalates things and that also goes both ways.
See, I didn't know about this bit earlier... "As soon as Cricket Tasmania was made aware, it undertook an investigation that determined the interaction was consensual, private, occurred on the one occasion only, was between mature adults and was not repeated," he said in a statement. If that's correct, then I really don't see what the problem is. Or if there is a problem (for cricket australia) that it's enough for him to lose his captaincy over it tbh. Seems unfair.
The people as in everyone on this forum, or society in general? No. Those who are the knuckle draggers and bigots? Yep. The fact you can't differentiate between the two is part of the problem.
The fact people who might have a different opinion to you are classed as knucks/bigot's is obviously your assessment, and that is yours by right to have that opinion and long may it last..... whether you are right in it is again an opinion
You know as well as I that in our country the government listens to nothing but their own rhetoric, sod what you think,
Get f*cked, Eric, we don't want a cheating bastard like him leading the Aussies, he'll be taking his queues from Warner the same as he did before. he may be a good cricketer but he's a piss weak man IMO.
It seems that the woman involved in this has been charged with theft from her employer and, I would imagine, is clutching at straws to try to find a wriggle hole. Why else would she bring this incident to light at this time, it has scant bearing on her current case.
