I ate the best paella ever on Tenerife. Wee Cantina at the harbour in Puerto de la Cruz.

A decent paella done right is elite eating.

 

Naw mate, it's the rough quarter. Got off the bus from Playa de la Americas at the wrong place and landed in shìtesvilĺe.

Walked through the market and there was actual skinned dogs hanging up. The Cantina is question was filled with ruffians and sailor types. The Aldo wasn't faized though, took it in his stride.

These are the places you want to eat when abroad, where the locals eat.

 

It's no coincidence that paella starts with the same letter as ****tahs.

Stopped at a wee roadside cafe in Cyprus in the Troodos mountains on the way to Osmodos. The only thing on the menu was chicken and potatoes. So ordered the chicken and potatoes.

OMG!

A massive basket of home made bread and olive oil came out then a full chicken and massive pot of the tastiest potatoes you could ever wish to eat along with a platter of Greek salad.

OMG!

The big Greek mama asked the kids if they wanted oranges after we finished eating and then plucked them off the tree through the window.

It was nae Harry Ramsden though.
