It's hilarious reading posts about political parties being left or right and how this person is useless or not. They're all politicians. Many years ago there was a percentage of MPs who had worked but now they're bred as politicians. Boris has no skills apart from being a politician. It would make sense if the person appointed health minister had even the remotest idea what they were talking about but they don't. These departments are run by Civil Servants no matter who is in power. The reason people voted for Trump and the reason the media and other politicians hated him was because he wasn't a politician. The only thing that would change anything would be if we got rid of the Civil Service but, if we did, the government collapse. The NHS and the CS are way too big to change now. The CS is too powerful for a mere politician to control. Wake up and smell the coffee.
Not sure how you could get rid of the civil service, like you say, they do all the actual work. Get rid of them and the MPs would have to start earning their living !
